Barbara Joyce Williams, of Las Vegas, transitioned from this life June 15, 2014. A Las Vegas native, she came into this world Nov. 11, 1948, to Tom Peter Williams, who precedes her in death, and Cleophis Williams who survives. Known to her close friends and family as Joyce or "Ms. Barbara," she graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1968. She was a server at the famous Sands Hotel during the 1970's and early 1980's and later worked at the Nevada Test Site. She gave birth to five children, Jocelyn Nixon, Gerald Williams, Maya Ezell, Jamal Williams and Aisha Giles. She leaves to remember and celebrate her life her mother, Cleophis Williams; children; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven brothers; and sisters; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Durango Hills Golf Club, 3501 N. Durango Drive.
