Rod and I had a blind date on Thanksgiving night of my Senior year, Nov. 1969! We dated for 2 1/2 years. During that time I went to LSCC, made the Deans list, got my degree but was only waiting for my MRS. degree :) I'm still a Gator Gal at heart! Rod was a golf pro, we started our life in Mt. Dora, moved up (down) to Palm Beach,Fl where he worked at The Breakers, Heather was born there in '75, then got an opp. to work in Darien, CT at Wee Burn C.C., 45 min. above New York City(far side of the world, for us) And since you can't play golf in the snow, we traveled back to The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL, we yo-yo'd back and forth for several years until he got to be an Asst.Pro (1of 12) at Pinehurst C.C. in N.C., Kevin was born Dec. 5, "79, One week later, Rod took the Head Professional job here in Montgomery for 25 years, then a few of the board of directors decided they need to save money so they downsized my husband out of his job. God opened another door several months later, and he became another golf pro a few miles up the road, however, the new owner(from Boston) allowed his business to go under, moved back north, and Rod had to find another job. So we didn't have to move, he took a job in sales of office supplies. That's been an interesting adventure, but I finally have him home on the weekends. (we've been married 37 years !) We are very active in our Baptist Church, we both still have our Presbyterian background, but enjoy this family Christian church.
I have enjoyed being an Enrichment Coordinator for 12 plus years, taking care of around 100 Senior Citizens every day. I plan programs, exercise, and Lots of parties and enjoy putting smiles on their hearts. Also I'm learning what to expect and how to behave when we get "old"....LOL
Looking forward to seeing y'all in Aug. Love to hear from you!
