Jason's oldest loves the Broncos and lost all his football cards. Anyone have any cool Broncos stuff or cards to share? Also looking for baseball cards for middle son. Drop me a line if you do!

Hey All!

Just thought I would post this link... http://www.loudountimes.com/news/2008/jul/07/Leesburg-fire-neighbors-help/ .... it is an updated article on Jason Goodman and his family. It's a very touching article when you read just how much is being done for them.

Update...
Billie Kirk's oldest son, who is in fire school, is donating his entire baseball card collection he's been collecting since age 4 (he's now 17) to Jason's middle son. I also got ahold of the Denver Broncos, and they are going to be sending something to them soon, too.

And it just keeps coming...thank you all!

Some more needs for Jason's family:

A filing cabinet/letter size file folders
Toy storage (something other than big Rubbermaid tubs)

I wish I was still in the area - I'd love to show up and help.

Thanks for running with this, Carey. The silver lining of actually getting something from the Broncos will surely touch Jason's son.

Wow Carey. You are so organized. Thanks for taking charge.

Anybody seen a good movie lately? I'm trying to plan a date with my husband. He prefers action movies. Anyone seen Indiana Jones?

I doubt I will be able to convince him to go to "Sex in the City." (even though I know he secretly likes that show).

Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E were good. Prince Caspian . . . was so-so.

I wasn't a fan of Indiana Jones.

1 Hancock 49
2 WALL-E 94
3 Wanted 64
4 Get Smart 54
5 Kung Fu Panda 73
6 Incredible Hulk, The 61
7 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 65
8 Kit Kittredge: An American Girl 63
9 Sex and the City: The Movie 53
10 You Don't Mess with the Zohan 54

I'm not seeing anything that really pops out at me.

Maybe we'll just stay home and watch The Departed again...or the Bourne series. Jason Bourne is a BMF (bad mfer).

Who is a bigger badass...Jason Bourne or Jack Bauer? Discuss...

07/11/08 01:58 PM #593

Molly Hardison (Rutherford)

Top Ten bad mfers, in my opinion:

1 Jason Bourne
2 Jack Bauer
3 Vick Mackey (The Shield)
4 Jules (Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction)
5 The Wolf (also from Pulp Fiction)
6 Travolta's character in Get Shorty
7 Rocky Balboa
8 Anyone Eastwood played, especially Dirty Harry (except the guy with the chimpanzee and the loser role in "Bridges of Madison County")
9 Batman
10 Teddy Roosevelt

Yes, I have a light day today.

Hey Molly, We just saw Wanted last week and other than the first chase scene (which was ridiculous) - it was actually a good and entertaining movie. I didn't expect to like it, but it's worth seeing. A little witty at times too. I haven't seen any others so can't comment on those.

Thanks Muffin. We'll probably check it out tomorrow, if these contractions I'm having don't escalate.

I can't believe no one has responded to my top ten list. What's the problem, are y'all actually working today? Don't like pointless dialogue? I'm going to have to find some slackers...I guess I'll go back to the Hokies message board.

Jason Bourne is WAY up there as a bad ass, no doubt. Jack Bauer is rapidly turning into McGyver I'm afraid. Oh, and Daniel Craig as James Bond has elevated that character in my opinion.

As far as movies, IRON MAN is by FAR the best one of the summer. Go see it. I have a feeling Dark Knight could be better. I'm a huge Indy fan, but have to admit I was a bit disappointed with IV. The scene at the end was just...well, stupid. Somebody ought to tell George Lucas he can't write anymore. If you saw the last 3 Star Wars films, you'll know what I'm talking about!

Hi guys. Me again. I would like to add a bookcase or two to the list.

We got an offer for a filing cabinet. Thanks, Rodney!

I'm slackin for a bit - so I gotta go with Clint Eastwood. Some of these new guys are okay - but they just don't have that dangerous quality about them like he does. Like he could snap at any moment.

Molly Hardison (Rutherford)

I agree about the new James Bond. And Clint Eastwood is just awesome. I get all fired up when I watch the Bourne series...even though I'm sure most of it is fake. I was kind of disappointed that he became all wussy and anti-CIA at the end of Ultimatum...but I guess that's the "trend" in Hollywood these days.

Hrmmm - tough guy scenes

Archibald Cunningham vs. Rob Roy

Varla

Tyler Durden taking Lou's best shots and laughing

The last one. God. That's draining. Punch someone - wide open, all your best shots. And he just takes em and laughs in your face.

Forgot Tommy Gavin from the show Rescue Me. He says and does whatever he feels like. He's one of those characters that you should hate, but you can't help but like him.

Carey, I am so pleased for all that you are doing. Thanks for leading this for Jason and his family.

Molly, Im so into horror and mystery that I never watch action, but you so better get that date with your hubby before you have your baby!!

Billie Kirk (Munday)

Are we forgeting about Tony Soprono?

Keith Barrack

I havent checked the site in a while and was truly sorry to hear about Jason and family but also touched on the replacement efforts, cheers to all of you that are helping. I will be putting a check in the mail this week.

As for actor's.... wtf? No Robert Dinero? No Al Pacino? WTF is the matter with you people!! I'm also a closet Bradd Pitt fan, I've liked almost every movie he's been in, especially Fight Club and Kalifornia.

I took the kids to see Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda, really enjoyed both. Iron Man was the best movie seen this summer, for sure. My son was absolutely glued to the screen.

I haven't bothered to see Indy, I have heard nothing but bad about it but my son is addicted to his Lego Indiana Jones video game and wants to see it so I imagine I'll have to suffer through it.

Chris, yeah you're right, Lucas has lost his flair. And now a cartoon/anime' upcoming Clone Wars? No Thanks.

When mentioning Clint you have to add Charles Bronson to the list - his Death Wish movies sealed the deal!!!

Anyone like the Terry Tate videos? This one is so funny.
