I have a fear of tractor and trailers. I can't fall a sleep in the car because I'm afraid we'll get ran over. I guess its not good to be the first one on the scene one a motorcycle got ran over by a tractor and trailer. Sorry Amy, I went from pet peeves to fears.
Amy, in the old days, yes. i was young and started out in AIR freight and was always in a hurry, but since i got my own equipment, i've changed. pet peeve ...people in cars should have to ride in a truck for one week to get "educated". the first three months after 9/11 was amazing ...everyone, it's about SHARING the road ...my three Cs COMMON SENSE, COURTESY AND CONSIDERATION, COMMUNICATION last time i checked, a turn signal was not an opptional piece of equipment. Amy, cops are the worst w/ this and i know it's cuz they're doing too much at once. old folks really scare me though. how can a 80 year old man drive an RV W/ a trailer behind it and a boat behind that and not need a special license?
Cops do tend to think they own the road. What was really annoying was getting used to driving a cruiser and people drove normally, then you switch to an unmarked, and suddenly everyone's tailgaiting and cutting you off again. That, and the people who wouldn't go even ONE mile over the limit. You're right Chris, common sense and consideration go a long way.
Brady, someone could really take that comment about Keith's sister the wrong way!! haha i remember a bus ride to Hotlanta from Savannah after a long night w/ a homemade gravity bong. the munchies were insane and i never got off the floor of the bus, but i had a great time in Atlanta
damn, i get shit about "opptional". i was just tryin' to say i was down w/ OPP. THE 3 Cs are between the commas. courtesy = using manners and consideration = thinking of others. one C just didn't cut it. Lee, how many bikes do you have?
Pet peeves, what a great topic! Bratty kids would have to be my number one. I have three kids, and nothing irritates me more than some mother in the checkout line of the grocery store reasoning with her 2 year old about why he cant have the candy bar. JUST SAY NO! It worked for our parents. It just really seems like alot of parents these days dont want to "be the bad guy" with their kids. It drives me nuts! Maybe its because I have been in the daycare business for so long, and I end up having to deal with other peoples kids that have no manners....ARGH! Oh, and I never smoked pot either. I did drink my face off though. Good times.
See I don't check the Forum for a day and Brady donates my money ... crap! Well Mr. Chris Wallace has agreed to triple my donations and said "My money is no good!" .. so Chris you are too kind. Brady, tell him how much he owes ... and have him make the check out to Larry N. Mullins Jr.
I guess I need to retract my previous statement when I told Sherry that we may have been the only 2 from the class of 88 who never smoked pot. My sincere apologies to those who haven't and to those who never inhaled. However, I do remember being at a Pink Floyd concert and was probably just as high as I was drunk from the 2nd hand smoke. Do bongs still exist?
If you go to Key West, you can get a bong on every street corner. I think my brothers taught me not to do dope. Everything they did, I did the opposite.
I have never seen a real bong before other than the makeshift one my brother made from a garden hose. I can honestly say that I have never dappled with drugs before. I remember when I first started working at the hospital and we had a drug test done and I was freaking out because I had eaten a bagel with poppyseeds on it, and since poppyseeds are in the opiate family, I thought I was going to fail that drug test. How stupid does that sound? I also get drunk on 3 beers.
Stacey, I'm bringing the beer and the bagels to the reunion. It should be interesting. Brady's bringing the JW and Joe and Chris W are paying for it all. COOL! Sherry, did u bring back some Jamaican and a bong?! :)
Thanks Chris. I can't wait. The bad girl I've always wanted to be will be exposed that night. I guess we needn't worry about what to wear to the reunion either.
now Stacey's got me worried about what to wear. i was just going to do flip-flops, cargos and a tee?! Brady, Brendhan, Lee, watcha'll wearing and we have to go the bathroom in groups too
Sherry - did everyone in Jamaica offer you pot? Only one person offered me any when I was there. I declined of course, but I was kinda dissapointed. I must look too straightlaced. I'm like you Stacy, I need to let my wild side out. (Though I'll admit I can't say the same thing about alcohol!)
Dude! Why do you have to ruin everything??! I really was hoping to make a "splash" at the reunion, and now you have to tell everyone about it!! What a jerk.
Guess it's back speedo's with the flippers and snorkel!
Oh and Joe, just use that gambling money of yours.
I did try to convince Brendhan to don his Motley Crue attire but he refused. I was hoping the "group" could re-enact their famous talent show act. Too old for Spandex, I guess. Shame.
I may be a little too old to wear the cleavage bearing top, but I'm hoping to find the perfect gut-hiding, non-formal ensemble. Who knows, somebody might even streak for us.
Amy- I was in Jamica last year and kept being offered pot. I was with another lady that was pregnant. I find all the islands an experience. I don't think anyone needs to worry about what they wear to the reunion. Everyones pictures look great. I like the chaps and the cowboy hats. Who's up to the dare? I think speedos are disgusting. All the European guys wear them. What are they thinking?
Not to be overly picky or anything, but did anyone notice that the official Class of '88 T-shirt on the site has 1998 written on it rather than 88? Or am I just seeing things? I am getting older.
