I second Walter's suggestion to add Doug Nelson and Yolande Hughes...I'd also add Dwayne Williams, even though I think he had to do senior year over and graduated in '89.

These "memories" from the past have me laughing and every time I read one I remember something new. I am having so much fun with this website.

Has anyone been back to LCHS recently - the foyer is gone - it is now the entrance to the main office complete with nice big windows. No more fun hanging our there in the mornings!

I will post some stories and pictures later today.

I talk to Doug once a week. I'll make sure he knows about it. He lives in Tuscaloosa. Married, 3 boys. And he owns The Houndstooth bar.

I've added Doug Nelson and Yolanda Hughes. They can now create their own profiles and use this website. And they will, of course, be invited to the reunion - but they'll have to pay just like everyone else. :) I didn't add Dwayne Williams - he was always Class of '89 (at least, according to my yearbooks).

I'll forward to Doug and Yo.

RE: Walter's update...
Oh, yeah, Keith and Tetley! Does anyone else think it was weird that we used to go over there and hang out with a bunch of gay men who were, what, 10-15 years older than us? Or was it just to get pot and beer?

I think that Chinese market was called Church's? I would put on a ton of make-up and go in and buy Mad Dog 20/20 and some Boones Farm Strawberry Wine crap, with no ID at all. I'm pretty sure that I looked about 14 at the time, but I guess they needed the money. ah, good times, good times....

hmm... little vague memories are starting to pop up in my head! Does anyone remember a party at Angela Reynold's house, when the cops were called, and teenagers scattered in every direction into the woods? Me and a few other people bunkered down in the basement, dodging the cop's flashlights for what seemed like hours until they finally gave up and left.
(Note to self, never leave my kids at home by themselves when they are teenagers.)

Wendy, Dwayne was definitely in our class from 9th grade on (he's in all 4 of my yearbooks)...he failed our senior year. His little brother, Garland, I believe was from the class of '89...and they we're not twins. :-)

Carey, I don't believe you grew...you'll have to prove it at the reunion. And drinking and sex in college?!? I guess we'll have to take your word for it. ;-)

Brendhan,

I'm gonna have to argue with you on this one (did I read in one of these posts that you never admit when you're wrong ;-) ). I have my freshman yearbook - 85-86 - and Dwayne Williams is listed as a freshman. Same with my sophmore, junior and senior yearbooks.

Look on page 108-9 in your senior yearbook. There's a picture of you guys in the lobby with the caption: Seniors Chris Monroe, Chris Wallace, Jeff Finn, Tom Tyler and JUNIOR Dwayne Williams tell jokes in the foyer before class.

Am I still an honorary member of the Class of '88 or are you officially kicking me out now? :)

Wendy, Give it up - Brendhan NEVER admits when he is wrong...unless he has changed in the last 20 years - :-)

Tutley is working at the Food Lion in Lessburg - the one by Davis Dr. - He is in the deli...

Brendhan Pelot (Pelot)

Me wrong...that's just a nasty rumor. I could swear Dwayne was there all 4 years we were there, but I could be wrong (hey, it's been 20 years the mind ain't what it used to be)...I'll have to double check my freshman year book when I get home. I'll happily admit it if I'm wrong....and even more happily tell you if I was right. ;-)

Good to see we are adding Doug. He is truly a part of this class. I was going to send this link to the Houndstooth email site because he seems to be all over it. Im glad people still think of him.

"Porn - where was I?"

"Oh dear lord Jenny, I had forgotten all about that. Im pretty sure we were both fairly altered that night. "

One of the things that made that party epic is that all of our close friends went straight to our house right at 2pm (just after the wedding/reception ended).

We were supposed to 'set up' the party.

Of course, we all got hammered by mid afternoon and starting peeling off to bedrooms to hook up (or heading to Rocky Horror) - so yeah, not surprising that:

A) The house got fucking destroyed. i.e. Bruce cutting lemon slices on a antique table. Without a cutting board.

B) Everyone's memory being a little hazy about the late evening activities.

Wait, that was a wedding reception?

Who got married?

Reading all of these posts makes me realize how many parties I missed. I will never blame my parents, for they just had to work to provide for us, (I try to believe that) but it makes me aware of what my own children will go through and desire. Im thrilled I can easily provide for them and understand their wants and needs. Teenagers will be teenagers and parties will go on forever. Not saying that I want my girls to get trashed and drive home, but you guys turned out pretty good - right? Sometimes I wonder if my parents just didn't feel like driving to Leesburg from Aldie or didn't want to waste their gas. Hrmmmm.... gas??

With all this talk about Doug Nelson, I just uploaded a picture of Doug from sophomore year, sporting the turned-up collar look that drove all the girls crazy :).

Have many fond (aka Drunken) memories at Doug's ... I think that was the summer of 1991 though ...

Carey - I think you should put those pictures back up, especially the one of Angela ... and I remember that party at Brady's ... I think I held your hair back while you were vomiting ... being the gentleman that I was back then ; )

and speaking of pictures ... I found that photo collage that Karen put together for all of us today ... too funny ... of course there are no photos of me ... apparently I was camera shy back then.

And back to Walters Party .. who the hell got married?

I think it is cool that so many people have stayed in touch. You look all over this site and you see "I see so and so weekly". I have a few friends (different classes) that I see like 3-4 times a year and people tell me all the time how rare that is.

But, seriously, while I appreciate hearing about all the stuff that went on while I was at home watching "Family Ties" - you're kind of freaking me out. I mean, the closest I ever came to getting high was smelling Colin McDiarmid's (sp?) jean jacket. At least I know that if my son comes home talking about him and his buddy doing an "atomic situp" that I should probably look into it. :-)

Im right there with you Teddy. I got the opportunity to change the 5 channels for my father on Friday and Saturday nights, from "MASH" to "Star Trek". No remotes and no cable. Oh kids don't even know how good they have it today.

Brian, excellent picture of Doug looking "totally rad" in those jams!

Hey I was stuck out in Aldie ... so I think I missed 90% of anything that was going on too!

Brendhan Pelot (Pelot)

Wendy, I checked my freshman yearbook (1984-85) and there was Dwayne Williams, right between Donnie Williams and Jared Williams. I KNEW I was right! ;-)

Before I moved to Atlanta I still hung out with 5 or 6 guys from high school on a semi-regular basis (couple times a month). Now I try to see them when I get back in town. I'm in weekly e-mail touch with 10 or so people from HS.

Even 20 years on, I still count the best friends I ever made amongst my HS friends. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in August.

Great pictures everyone. Carey - don't feel bad. I wasn't allowed to even drive outside of Leesburg. (Which made it tough to explain why I wasn't in the "town" when I totaled my Cherokee.) And to add to what Brendon said, college was a lot of fun, but my best friends definitely came from going to school in Loudoun. It's great hearing all of the stories, even if I missed out on most of them at the time!

'Walter's Party' My parents were out of town, god knows where. Wynn and I were in town. We went to Ms. Foster's wedding Saturday afternoon, and invited a broad range of people to the party.

Ms. Foster was the puritanical English teacher some of us had.

I had Mrs. Foster for 10th grade English. She was VERY straight laced, but I liked her. I had this ability to ask her questions she just loved to answer....all period. There were many times in that class where we hardly did any work because I kept asking her questions...I don't think she ever caught on. :-)

Joe - Hardly!! dude for one you went to Scotland - a field trip I don't even recall. Two - I remember sitting on the hot hour long bus ride watching you enjoying the passenger seat of Sean Jackson's mom's Acura Legend. Some days I couldn't even watch your pleasure of a ride like that to school.
