05/06/08 06:05 PM #159     Brian Cross I looked up the current staff at LCHS, and found that many of our teachers are still there, including Mrs. Phillips, Mr. Wells, Senor Wright, Mrs. Simms, and Mrs. Blakeney. The Principal is Mr. Oblas, from Simpson Middle School (see the 8th grade picture in my profile). Assistant Principal is Rick Brown, who I believe was the same Mr. Brown who was a P.E. teacher at Simpson Middle school when we were there, and also a driver's ed teacher some of us had. http://cmsweb1.loudoun.k12.va.us/lchs/site/Directory_List.asp?byType=125

05/06/08 11:09 PM #163     Brian Cross Thanks Michelle. From what I remember of the gym teacher Mr. Brown, it didn't sound quite right to me. I just saw the name and the P.E. degree and thought it might be the same guy. The 7th grade gym teacher used to play with his keys in his shorts all the time (at least we hoped it was just his keys). Didn't really seem like a future assistant principal type. Looks like Mr. Roos is now at Loudoun Valley. And Bryan Mattraw (LCHS '90) teaches at Hillside Elementary in Ashburn (http://cmsweb2.loudoun.k12.va.us/51212562391755/site/default.asp), and Bryan's wife Julie Thill (LCHS '90) teaches at Briar Woods in Ashburn.

I think that would be pretty funny to watch, collectively! Carey- That's amazing that you grew so much after high school. I guess I have to be happy with 5'1, and yes, will have to take over arm rest duty. :( Do you guys remember Mason Preddy? I took him to senior prom, he went to Broad Run? He remembers a lot of you guys, and wants to come to the reunion. He are still good friends after all these years, even with me being 3,000 miles away for 15 of those years.

05/08/08 06:04 PM #169     Brian Cross For those of us still nostalgic for the '80s, I found the following '80s lyrics quiz that I thought was fun: http://www.yetanotherdot.com/asp/80s.html It has lyrics from over 100 songs from the '80s, and you have to fill in the blank words. Many are easy. Some take a while to remember. A few I didn't know at all until I saw the answer. If you have an hour or so, try it and see how high you can score without cheating.

05/08/08 09:03 PM #173     Michelle Stocks (McKinstry) Oh Bob Updegrove and 180 club....he took my wedding photos in 1999 and also did my brothers last year. Hasn't changed a bit!!!! I have every VHS from our Freshman year until we graduated. I need to convert them to DVD before they won't play anymore. By the way, I have added more pictures. My mother keeps finding boxes that belong to me - I am having a good time going through them - talk about memories.
