Crawford - Herman Eugene Thomas, 61, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
A native of Athens, Ga., he was the son the late Vocal and Pearl Hill Thomas and the husband of Tammy Ann Bennett Thomas. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Thomas and Essie Bell Brooks. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2010, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, with the Rev. Jamie Doster officiating. Burial will be in the Coile Family Cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include children, Pearl Thomas, Belinda Jani and Herman Thomas; brother, Alford Thomas; sisters, Lona Dockery, Lottie England and Shirley Owensby; and two grandchildren, Brandi Thomas and Aaron Peters.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are James Fowler, Dewayne Fredricks, Cody Hall, Billy Wilkins, Earl Wilkins and Jason Chambers.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, is in charge of arrangements.
