I think we should keep it going.

Janet Byrd said she she would donate to cause.

looks like most days a few visit the site even though they may not post anything.

Peggy said we have funds to pay, so if there is no objections she said she could send Ed a check to renew for another 5 years $349.

Although I am not on it much, I do enjoy it. If we have the funds, I say go for it. It's a great way for us to stay in touch

Edd Lowe

I just charged $349 on my credit card.  We have 5 more years of classcreator.  This puts us past our 50th reunion.  By then we will all be on medicare and social security.

Being the oldest person in the Class of 69, I can tell you that MediCare starts in six months.

Janet Byrd

I was able to begin Medicare several years ago after being declared disabled due to becoming nearly paralyzed due to degenerative discs, vertebrae, etc.   Fortunately emergency neurosurgery fused several cervical vertebrae and stopped the progression of spinal stenosis in those discs.  I learned I was 48 hours away from becoming permanently paralyzed without chance of reversal!  Weakend legs and hands is a much better option than paralysis.  So, I retired  a few years early from career, but got medicare several years early as the tradeoff.  Big insurance relief, and definitely more pros than cons!

We weren't ever going to get old and have health issues---not the class of '69!  I hope everyone is having a great summer and surviving the heat!

Janet Argo (Jacobson)

I retired April 2014 and just filed for SS. was trying to hold out as long as I could but due to my husband's health and not being able to work as much, I filed early. Haven't received my first ck yet. Won't be much but it will help.

07/24/15 01:32 PM #600

Edd Lowe

Yes Brad, I am well aware that January 1 we will be on medicare.  And only one year until full retirement age for social security.  I am looking forward to have to pay very little for insurance.  I know that Janet is happy.
