Well summer is almost over unfortunately but football season is here. Dogs are off to a good start but so are a lot of other southeastern teams so another tough year. I hope everyone had a good summer. Eleanor's broke ankle is almost well so maybe falls going to be better for us. May be we could pick a night and get together to eat sometime.

And Ann, you know how I feel about you and your loss. You are like a sister to me and I hope if you need anything, you will call me and I will do what I can. You are in my prayers.

I was so proud of my Granddaughter, Carrie Etheredge, at the Oglethorpe County Homecoming Football Game. She performed as a flagette at half-time and at the end of the game, following in her grandmother's footsteps! However, she was the most beautiful one on the field.

Katie, you must be very proud of your granddaughter.  Now it is a family tradition!  I hope everyone is doing well.  I had eye surgery last week at Emory and so far everything is on target to healing.  Happy Fall to all!

Katie, Allen plays at the Sandy Cross Grocery for the deer season jamboree on Friday night.  I assume they are playing this year.  We will check in the deer camp and then head out to Sandy Cross to see what is going on.  There is usually a big crowd.

Enjoyed the Sandy Cross Jamboree with Allen Bridges' band on Friday night. It was good to see Edd Lowe, Albert Aguilar, and Danny Erwin and David Burt. Also, how good it was to see Jimmy "Foots" Tiller out and about. Love you guys!

Tim I forgot to edit my book about my Dads death.  He died 6 months ago and I still feel like it was today.  I really have a hard time when I think about him.  I am sorry about your Dad.

Ann our prayers continue to be with you in the loss of your Dad. Hollidays always seem to make us think more about our love ones that are no longer here with us.

Any update on Robert?

Katie Canup (Roberts)

Thanks Warren for post #583 for the Happy Birthday wishes. It seems to go mostly unnoticed at the holidays. Thank goodness for Facebook.

I went to check on Mom & Dad today. Took down their Christmas decorations. But found Dad with a large knot on his head and two black eyes. It seems that he got up in the middle of the night to get a glass of milk (which he loves) and stumbled, fell, and hit the coffee table with his head. Goodness, it is always something.
