Don't know if yall remember what I went through at the beginning of our senior year with the medication reaction that put me in the hospital. Well, it almost took me. Hence, I am proud of every single day.
You're right Peggy, there are perks to being 65 lol

Janet, I had forgotten about that. You did have a rough time for awhile. I think we all have probably been through things that have made us appreciate life more. We are all blessed 🙏

Warren, I am so very sorry to hear of Eleanor's illness. I will be lifting up both of you in my Prayers.

Blessings. Please let me know if Eleanor would like to have a visitor. Seems I only get out of the house for dr. appts. now. Did you remember that Eleanor was related to my grandmother, Ida Saye Herring? I wish her a speedy recovery.

Has anyone heard anything about a "William Wilson" dying recently? I think he may have been a cousin to Billy Rogers. Just wondering.....

If u end up getting this twice sorry but I sent it once and it disappeared. Carol, Eleanor loves to get visitors. She is in The Oaks on Kathwood Drive Athens, room 220. Visiting hour's are from 8 to 8, she has therapy 3 to 4 Hours a day so you may have to hunt her down but u can visit during a lot of the therapy. She will be there through the 24th.

Katie,  we saw William Wilson last week.  He is having some health problems but he is alright. Wayne Wilson lived in the Wolfskin area. I think he may have been Gloria Butler's cousin. His wife is Rosemary Cunningham Wilson. He was in the class of 1968.

Good Morning Everyone!  I just read through all of the posts beginning back in early 2016.  It was good to catch up on each of you, but I wanted to give you all my reason for not using the class page more.  Maybe there is a solution that one of you "computer brainies" can come up with, so here it is.....  I can't keep up with the conversations, who is replying to whom, and (sometimes) what they are talking about.  For instance, Katie asked about William Wilson (By the way, Katie, I rechecked his full name in my mind to be sure when I heard of the death of the "other" Wilson also!).  The reply was several posts down.  So the question is whether there is a way to sort the conversations so that replies and comments can be posted with the original post?  Probably not, but it would be really helpful.

Anyway, good to hear from all of you!  We are sunny and warm... most days... in beautiful Beaufort, SC.  If you get over this way, be sure to call me!  I will treat you to good seafood!

Hey Gloria could you just send me some of those crab legs to Georgia. How's Gary doing is his leg doing ok now. The message forum just takes a little getting use to, I also like to read the class of 68s to keep up with our friends there. They have not posted much lately either and I miss Gary posting his stories and jokes.

Hi  Warren, Thanks for the note.  Gerry is dong fine for his condition.  The Doctor's are wondering why his Parkinson's Disease is not prograssing as fast as they expect, and that is really good news.  He is starting to have a lot of trouble getting around.  Whether it is the Parkinson's, Arthritis, or something else, it is giving him a lot of trouble.  But we are all getting older and I guess we should expect some troubles.  How is your wife?  I think I heard that she had a stroke??---- Gloria

Jane Taylor (Bailey)

Hey Warren, give me an address.  I want to send Eleanor a card.  I'm wishing her a nice, quick recovery.

Prayers are sometimes God's miracle to us.  I will remember Eleanor in mine. (I just learned about Eleanor's

illness a couple wks. ago.  I'm asking other classmates to pray for Eleanor.  I'm also asking for your prayers.

Even though they've patched my heart this past yr (March & August). and implanted the defib* other stuff could happen.

I hope you are well.

*I got a defibrillator/pacemaker combo  implanted a couple weeks ago.  I've almost totally recovered and have felt great for a couple days.

Peggy your granddaughters are the talk of the county today. Everyone is talking about how great they were singing the national anthem for opening day of rec ball. I wish I had been there to here them. It makes my day when they sing in church. Congratulate them for me and tell them to keep it up.

Thank you so much Warren!!  They were really nervous because they haven't done anything like that before. They love to sing and they enjoyed the opportunity to do this. My heart was about to burst with pride and my eyes were filled with tears (as always). I have enjoyed seeing Ella and Miles at the ballfield!!  Thanks again 😀

Please be in prayer for Kathy Gorman Plotkin as she recently was diagnosed with cancer and has developed pneumonia. We will try to keep everyone up to date. Also remember Ralph Maxwell as he continues to improve from his stroke recently. Please keep the family of Barbara Carter Thompson in your prayers. Barbara passed away last week.

I am unsure where to post this so that most of you will see it.  Therefore I am posting it here AND in the tab marked "Message Forum"

Monday -- Aug 14 --- I received an update from Kathy's daughter-in-law this morning. At this time, she is no better and her brain is having some swelling. She is receiving injections to try to reduce this. ChaCha said she "appears" to have some recognition and they are just hoping that she still comprehends what they are saying. I asked ChaCha to pass along to her that we are all praying.

I ask you all now to pray for peace for the family and a painless passage for Kathy.
