You are right, Carol.  It is planned for Friday, Dec. 29, at 7:00.

The confusion for both Peggy and me is that we are also planning a Class of '67 reunion of Saturday, Dec. 30.  We will try to keep the dates straight, but you know how the :old" minds are.  Just correct us when we get it confused, please!! LOL!

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.  My how time flys!  Where did 2017 go? I.am sorry I didn’t come to the get together. I have been enjoying my Grand Children. Buddy and I are enjoying our golden years together. We thought about traveling some but we usually end up at our cabin at lake Russell. It is nice and quiet over there. Take care every one and always remember Jesus loves you.

Happy New Year Ann.  Hope you and your family have a safe and healthy new year. We missed you and Buddy at the get together. We had a good time talking, eating and laughing. We hope more people can attend next time. We are all getting older and need to stay in touch. Sympathy is extended to Bobby Erwin and his family in the death of his mother Ms Ruth Erwin.

I just saw a post shared by Mary Johnson Costa's sister that Mary unexpectedly passed away.  I was wondering if anyone knew what is going on?  I am at Myrtle Beach so am out of touch with what is happening at home at the moment.  Hope everyone is doing well,

Yes Sandra Mary did pass away unexpectedly. She is Travis’s first cousin. Mary woke during the night and called for her son Matt to call for help. By the time someone got there she was gone. So sad. Please keep her family in your prayers!!

Peggy, thanks so much for the info on Mary.  She was a very sweet lady.  Like many of us, she grew up poor in material things, but rich in the love of her family.  She lived close to us for awhile and even came to Clouds Creek Church sometimes.  As a kid, she was always smiling and sweet when I saw her.  As an adult, I admired her for her giving attidute and the way she helped Matt to thrive!  Always so positive!  RIP Mary.

Peggy, thanks for the update on Mary.  As Gloria said, we all grew up together down in the Devils Pond area a d played together many times.  I used to run into Mary and Matt often in Danielsville but hadn't seen them in a while.  We did chat on FB periodically and I will miss her cheerful attitude and ready smile.  Please let us know when y'all hear about arrangements.   Linda said ahe would let me know too so if I hear, I will be sure to post info here.

Arrangements for Mary Johnson Costa

Friday, March 30th from 6:00pm-8:00pm there will be a visitation at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home in Danielsville, GA. There will not be a service at this time.  We truly appreciate the outpour of support we have received. We always knew how special our mother was and it's so comforting to see/hear/read about all the lives she touched.

It's been a long time since anyone posted.  It is time to start talking about our 50th reunion next year.  I wish you would start sharing ideas.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone.  This is the big one.  We have lost a few since our last reunion and I expect we will lose a few more before our next.  Let's all get together for a big one in 2019.

I would like to hear some responses to our 50th reunion.  I am willing to help plan it if everyone will show some interest in coming.  We are so late in the year, it would have to be either late in the summer or on a fall weekend that UGA is playing out of town.  I am open to any ideas.  My suggestion would be to have it in Lexington at the Brooks Platt house.  Chuck Brooks has a wedding venue there.  He has a barn with plenty of tables and chairs.  This is a beautiful facility that he has offered to let us use for free.  We could have it catered by Big G barbecue in Crawford.  This would be inexpensive and be in the center of Lexington.  The only problem would be that the party would have to end around 10:00 PM.  The neighbors don't like to be kept up.  Of course this is just a suggestion.

Lets get some dialogue going on this.  I hate to miss our 50th.  We have lost a few more members and I would love to see everyone at least once more.

And I would be in favor of inviting other classes to join us.

I talked to Peggy last week and plan on getting in touch with country side about prices. Dates and etc.

Good to know about Brooks.

We can use tools on website and manager for planning purposes and payment.
