Happy Halloween guys. It is a rainy Saturday monring. Too rainy for me to sit in the woods looking for Bambi. And today is GA-FLA day. I know that some of you are in Florida, but I am sitting home, glued to the tube. I cannot believe that Warren, David, Joel and wives went camping in the rain last night. My wife will not even go camping on a pretty night. She thinks that roughing it is staying at the Holiday Inn Express. And we cannot go to the game in Jacksonville anymore because it is on halloween. I will be trick or treating tonight. I have this strange feeling that GA may beat Fl. Strange things happen on halloween. Go Dawgs. Woof, woof.

Hello, Halloween is over and now we have to get ready for Thanksgiving. Time goes by so fast it is getting harder to keep up everything!!!!!! I hope everyone had a great Halloween. We just stayed home and looked for the little ghost, witches, etc. to come and get candy. ha
Everyone take care!

Good morning everyone. Hope you had a nice weekend. We helped our daughter give out candy on Saturday night. They live in a sub-division and had 131 trick-or-treaters. (Big and little) We had one man come by with his child holding his sack for candy too. Edd was that you? :) Travis is playing golf today with our son. Today is Travis's first day of retirement. He apparently did not see my "Honey Do" list. Hope everyone has a great week! :)

Well it may have been a rainy weekend but David, Joel, our spouses and I had lots of fun on our annual campimg trip. We ate lots of food and plenty of sweets. Talked lots of politics and told lots of old stories. We finished up by going to Mill Stone Church to hear David preach. I think we should all get together one Sunday and show up and suprise David. If you have never heard him he's really very good. well you might know Monday would turn out sunny.

I would love to hear David preach one Sunday. When and what time do they have services? Maybe we can get a few classmates to join us.

Peggy Allen (Gabriel)

I have also heard David preach, he is very good. He also preached Tank's funeral. He did a really good job at that. Let me know we would love to go hear him again one Sunday.

Preaching starts at 11:00 at Davids church. Let's set a date and as many as possible try to go.

11/03/09 10:59 PM #45

Jane Taylor (Bailey)

Yeah, let's go to the old country church, Millstone. Say the date and I'll be there. Don't let David know ahead of time that we're coming. Visiting Millstone will definitely be a treat for I've not heard David preach.
Peggy, are you and Travis ready to sing?! I'm ready to hear some good southern gospel music.

Peggy Allen (Gabriel)

Jane, only if you and Mell join us!!

11/04/09 10:33 PM #47

Katie Canup (Roberts)

Someone please let me know the date to hear David preach.
I think that would be awesome.

11/05/09 11:12 AM #48

Jane Taylor (Bailey)

Peggy Sue: I will be there--just say when and where.
I'm open to any Sunday to go to Millstone. I love that old church and the quaint setting. I know it is an especially beautiful setting down there now with the leaves having turned colors and dropping all around it. It will be so wonderful to worship with classmates.

Wish I could join all of you. I sure miss everyone. Unless I get another job and QUICK, I won't be coming back home this year.

11/05/09 07:33 PM #50

Jane Taylor (Bailey)

Janet: what has happened? Did they cut ya? And, are you talking about your job in emergency? OR, are you referring to another job that you need? tell us about it. You gotta come home around Christmas--we got things to do and places to go!
Like I said earlier -- cut your losses and come on back to God's country where people love ya! It's just not that easy is it.

Ann Mattox (Hill)

Let me know when everyone goes to hear David preach!!!! Yes, Peggy we want to hear you all sing to.I am sure they will probably ask you to sing.
Janet you can still stay in touch with everyone on this message forum. You have to keep your job. It is hard to find one now!!! We are so lucky everyone can communicate on line.

Jane,

They didn't cut me but I am getting burned out on the ER. I have been there almost 10 1/2 years. Now that I have my degree and 30 years of hospital experience, I need to move on and find something that is more on the Administrative side. As long as I am working in the ER, I can't take another weekend off this year, per my boss. See, I work Wed-Sun each week and she said I have had all the weekends off she is going to allow. Oh don't get me started. NOW, if I had a M-F job or my Tupperware was were it should be by now, I would be calling the shots instead of someone else LOL.

I really wish I could come home for Christmas, not only to be with my family but also to be with all of you.

You all hold down the fort next week while I"m on a cruise.
I need to check one out to see if we should do this in a couple years.
This one is a Gospel singing cruise with Carnival Line to Bahamas. Nassa & Half Moon Cay. from Jacksonville.
I'll be posting some pictures when I get Back.

Yo, Tim: If you get a chance while in the Bahamas get a guide to carry you all out to "the most beautiful beach in the world". I can't remember the name but it's out away from the city (Freeport) for a ways. Our bus stopped on the side of a paved road, we walked on a platform through a mangrove thicket for about 500 yds., walked over a pine tree covered dune like hill and there spread out before us was the most gorgeous breath taking beach we had ever imagined. The water was shallow, crystal aqua blue, and the sand was so very fine in texture it felt just like french silk ice cream between our toes--a very picturesque place. Sorry I can't recall the name. I would think most guides would be familiar with the beach. We were staying in Freeport at the time we took that tour.
Have a rip-roarin time touring, and a toe-tappin' time with the gospel singing.
This must be an early birthday gift for you.

Ok Class

I would appreciate it if some of you would log into my Tupperware site and open up an online party or just go shopping LOL -- yes, I know, blunt and to the point but I am trying to get this up and going so I can back off at the hospital some.

We have some great specials going on now for the holidays. Everything that is in the book is online.

If anyone would be willing to do an online party, you go in and register and then when you e-vite you family and friends it sends them a link to my site. The party stays open for 14 days and on the last day Tupperware shuts it down at 11:59pm. All items are shipped to the customer via FedEx ground. I don't see any of your information unless you want me too. Any sales over $200, you receive an e-card from Tupperware for 10% of the total sales to buy what you like.

I know this may sound "pushy" to some and I am sorry but hey it's my business I am promoting LOL.

Thanks in advance for your time

I want to express my thanks to all the veterans in honor of the just-past Veteran's Day. As some of you know, I am a nurse at the Veteran's Outpatient Clinic in Athens, and just working here has increased my awareness and forever gratefulness to our veteran's, both in our class, our parent's classes, and to the sons and daughters of our classmates who are veterans as well.
And a very special memory to the one veteran that I know of who was lost while serving during Iraq Freedom - Phil Scarborough, son of Phyllis and Mike, who died on October 30, 2004.
There may be others who have lost sons and daughters in the service of our country - I would like to know if there are so we can honor them as well.
