I am enjoying all of the conversations on the message forum. I fell down the Thursday before our reunion and fractured my tail bone and really bumped the back of my head. I almost didn't come to the reunion but I am glad I made it. I am still leaning to the side when I sit down. The back of my head is still real sore. The doctor said I will be ok.
I know you will have a great time on the cruise. I have to many people to take care of around here to go with you. My Mom is 81 and my Dad will be 85 this month. Both of them have to have special attention. My husband has dementia (day to day memory problems) He gets confused a lot.
I really love my family and I will always be there for them. I will be enjoying your conversations on message forum. Take care and I love all of you!
All of our problems we have had in the past has made us all very strong and understand life more. God doesn't put on us any more than we can bare!!!!

My Goodness Ann, I didn't know that you had fallen. Strong woman you are -- sure glad you came. It was GREAT seeing you. I hope I can make the cruise -- I too have a lot going on around here and no one to help me. Please keep in touch.

Committee, all of you did an outstanding job. It was awesome!!!!!! It was great to see everyone, after so many years not seeing or hearing from different people. If it wasn't for the website, I would have been lost with a lot of people. Us maturing is great. Know we have the right (and be able to get away with it,most of the time) get discounts and all that good STUFF for being a senior citizen. Wow ~~~~~~~~~~~!

As far as the cruise goes, just call me!!!!! I'm pretty much ready for excitement, rock the boat, say a prayer or three, laugh a lot and have great fun. Memories~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don't think I will be wearing a bikini, s--- my cellulite, broken veins, big buttocks, I can't handle let alone show it off!!!!!!!! Just out to have fun with the great people of the Class of 1969.

love ya

Katie, I really enjoyed the video very much! I made one for my grandkids and they loved it. Today is another rainy day and I am enjoying catching up on all the news.

Janet, I am sorry I didn't call you Sat. before you went back home. I was so sore I couldn't hardly set in my chair. I layed in bed all day and felt sorry for myself. I am feeling much better today.

Tim you are doing a great job on all the pictures of the classmates!!!! Keep up the good work!

Edd: Did you stop the likings of Bambi, better yet, a 10-14 pt. Daddy Buck in his tracks? I would imagine there are some nice & healthy sized ones in Goosepond. Be extra careful and never go alone to hunt (mommajane's motherly instinct just cut in). I hunted many years with Gary in Vesta area and southern Oconee Co. and s--- can happen out in the woods when you least expect it. Keep us posted.

Bambi lives. So does Bambi's mother and father.

so no lucky huh.
cold weather should help making them move around.
i Used to hunt a lot but became a fair weather hunter several years ago. I have not bought licsense in about 4- years now. Maybe I'll get back into it later.
I really enjoyed getting out in the woods and seeing the animals.

Hello Classmates,

It was good to see the Post Planning Committee at Beef-O'Bradys on Thursday night. Thanks for joining us Peggy and Travis. Here is what I have written to put in the Oglethorpe Echo about our Class Reunion.

40th Class Reunion

The 40th Class Reunion of the Oglethorpe County High School Class of 1969 was celebrated by 33 classmates and many of their spouses at Countryside Catering in Winterville, Ga., on October 10, 2009. Classmates from Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and many parts of Georgia came to celebrate. Those who had served in the military got special recognition, along with the educators and classmates who had traveled the farthest and been married the longest.
As a fundraiser for the class treasury, “white elephant” gifts were auctioned, and tickets were sold for a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Peggy Gabriel won the 50/50 drawing, coming away with $121.00 and Ann Hill won 3 out of the 5 door prizes! Someone bought a lot of tickets.
A special thanks to Edd Lowe of the Class Reunion Planning Committee for getting our website up and running. You can visit it at https://www.classcreator.com/Lexington-GA-Oglethorpe-County-1969/class_index.cfm. Many have enjoyed discovering the updates of their fellow classmates. The website has proved to be a special link to bonds with many of our classmates and the topic of much conversation at our class reunion.

Katie,
Sounds great to me!! I know I sure had a great time and am still talking about it. Some of my co-workers that were also on vacation have been asking me about it. I have truly enjoyed this website. It makes me feel as though I am not so far away.
