Here it is, Christmas Eve. My fondest memories of Christmas are being at home in Crawford. There was always something going on with the kids there. It was great growing up in Oglethorpe County. We were very fortunate to grow up with the families that we had there. I am thinking about all of you and hoping that everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you ALL!!! I am at work right now. It is windy and cold here today. In the 40's but feels colder because of the wind.

Jane that is great news -- I am glad that she is improving -- we can only pray for a Christmas miracle.

I, too, wish that we were all together tonight talking about old times around a fire. I am so glad I made a point to come home in Oct. It was a blessing to see everyone.

God Bless You All !!!!

Janet

I wish I could go see David Sunday, but I will be in Arkansas duck hunting Sunday morning. Bambi survived, but I can guarantee that I will get some ducks. I hope that we have a good turnout to see David. Maybe some of you will go back to see him when I can go.

I lost one of my best friends last week to a heart attack. Buster Benton was 58 years old and a 1969 graduate of Monticello High School. We have been friends since college. Buster was a larger than life individual. As a senior in high school, he was quarterback of the football team and recipient of many awards. He graduated from UGA with a BBA degree, a graduste of TCU with an MBA, a U.S. Army veteran, a CPA, a stockbroker, and owner of several businesses. He would come to visit me and never bring any money with him. He would stay up all night and sleep all day. He could drive you nuts with some of his ways, but you could not help but love him.

My point is, life is too short. I love everyone of you and we need to stay in touch. Our last reunion was special and I hope we have many more. I hope that everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2010.

Edd -- sorry to hear about your friend. You are so right -- life is short!

Without going into detail, I am having a lot of personal problems at home right now so I might not be here for a while. I do miss all of you a great deal.

I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

May God Bless us All !!!!

We are looking forward to seeing all of you that plan to go to Millstone on Sunday. I talked to Margie yesterday and we thought it would be good if we could all go out to eat after church. (Maybe David won't preach to us too long!!)Everyone be Careful if the weather is as bad as they are predicting on Thursday and Friday. Hope to see you on Sunday:)

Hi all,
I was wondering where David's church is located? I would like to try to find my way there in the morning, but realize I may be getting in touch too late. Any info will be appreciated. Take care all.
Thanks, Carol

OK -- on a lighter note -- I need everyone to make a Tupperware purchase from my website before the end of January. I am trying to win an all expense paid trip to Orlando Fla for Julibee this summer --- LOL

I would appreciate the help IF you can.

Thanks in advance

Janet

Tim Hansford and I spent 4 days duck hunting in St. Charles, Ark. We froze our buns off, but we had a great time. We learned that you cannot hunt ducks when the temperature is 10 degrees. It was the experience that mattered. The 6 of us shot 67 ducks, but it was far under the limit. I had a lot more success duck hunting than I did deer hunting. Bambi lives.

I talked to Robert tonight and Beth came home today. She still has a ways to go for full recovery but is improving daily. Ann I hope Buddy is doing better and you haven't had to make any more trips to the hospital. We had a good visit at Millstone the other Sunday and enjoyed our meal afterwards. We should meet for Sunday lunch a couple of times during the year. Edd one of my customers went duck hunting the same time you were there. He said there were so many ducks you couldn't miss.

She has now gotten home trying to walk. She is having to do rehab until she can walk better. She will be living with mom and dad until she gets better.

Is that how old we are this year?

Peggy Allen (Gabriel)

Don't you mean how young? :)

01/28/10 08:44 AM #109

Warren Mason

I don't think it matters how old we are but how young we feel. I hope we will always feel young.

It doesn't change a thing to be concerned about our age--w are the age that we are! However, I've found out that if I set my mind on the Young setting it gives me a great outlook and attitude. But, then, the ole body starts screamin' that it feels like 100 some days and I have to adjust my attitude and outlook. I have to imagine that it's snowing and the 80% child in me comes alive!
