William E. (Bill) Freckman

After graduating I went to UK for 3 semesters...college just wasn't for me so I dropped out, leading quickly to my draft physical but I flunked due to the knee operations from football. Funny thing one door closes, another opens...I took a job at a local company called WABCO as a Technical Illustrator. I learned the printing craft there and wound up as the Advertising & Sales Promotion Manager. After 8 years there I left to work as a Printing Production Mgr. at the Jerrico Corp. (Long John Silver's Seafood Shoppes, Jerry's, etc.). Several years went by & I felt the need to expand my horizons, so I took a job in Dallas, Tx. Over the next 20 odd years I worked at a number of Advertising agencies, the most notable being Ogilvy & Mather both in TX & Hawaii. I also spent some time at an agency in Houston.
My final 10 years in advertising & printing was spent at Citigroup. I left there in 2008. I spent some time doing free lance work, but eventually took a part time job at the DFW airport as a TSA Screening Officer...interesting job! I retired after 5 yrs in January of this year (2016).
Oh, I forgot to mention I married Marcene Meyers in '68 and we had one daughter, Angela. We divorced in '84, but, as I said before about doors closing & opening, I met and married a great girl form Dallas named Cindy in '89. We have been having fun ever since!
