Betty Cox

Lived in AZ ffrom 1979 til 2018. Had a stroke and moved in with Jordan near Las Vegas. I taught for 40years in special education, from preschool to 12th grade, all subjects including boys’ p.e., and all categories. It was a trip. Self contained, resource and team teaching. Now nothing.

We know how crazy it was. 10 schools, 12 years, never moved. After hs went to EKU to get my degree in history. Decided to stay on and get my MA in special education. While teaching Lexington at Morton Jr. I got my rank one. Somewhere in there I went from Betty Cox to Betty Halffman and back again. I made the choice to not remarry.
I remember when we watched the scary movie and a girl from my English class walked across the stage with a candlabra and frightened everyone. I remember voting on everything since we were the first class. Remember the ring luncheon. I was taking a freshman history clas for fun and the sub that day almost didn’t let me go.
