Went to Bennington College for 2 1/2 years, then graduated from Wheelock College with a teaching degree. After working for a few years in education, and being fired from several jobs, I started employing myself. Haven't fired me yet!
I dye fabric, cut it up and sew it together... quilts, wallhangings, etc. My latest endeavor has been jigsaw puzzles: I design a cut pattern (including themed whimsies) to complement an image of one of my quilts or hangings, and get very nice wooden jigsaw puzzles produced for me.
Did high-end craft fairs for many years; now sell through my website (www.colorquilts.com), by word of mouth, and during Spring and Fall Studio Tours sponsored by the Vermont Crafts Council.
Lived for 30 years in a tiny village in southeast Vermont, but have moved to the nearby (little) city of Brattleboro. Married my college sweetheart 30 years after we met. He's a teacher, percussionist and composer.
