Lori - loved talking with you tonight on the phone - we covered 30 years in 30 minutes pretty well, don't ya think? lol Again, this web site is fabulous - great job everyone! I hope to visit here a lot so I can catch up - will try very hard to make it to the reunion - will put some more photos and some more info on myself here later, but in the meantime I'm off to eat the supper that got cold while talking to Lori! :) hmmmm...it says I posted this at 10:35 but it is 9:35 in Iowa and 8:35 in Colorado

Lori,

A big THANKS to you for putting together this website. This will be a great way for us to keep in contact before the reunion and after. I've already been exchanging messages with Chris today and brainstorming some fun ideas about this site and the reunion. To my knowledge, we're still the largest class that has graduated from good ol' SEW high school so let's see if we can set a record for attendance at a class reunion!!

I think this is going to be such fun. My job this evening is to try and get ahold of more people. If you know of anyone's email address, please invite them. Looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone. It has been way too long!

Lori: Thanks for the info, this site is great for finding out where everyone has landed 30 years later. I was back in Iowa briefly twice last year (unfortunatly it was to bury my parents in Jan/Mar). Life's too short my friends so enjoy it while you can!

I don't know about everyone else, but I am enjoying so much this web site. I check it oh at least 5x a day (at least!) to see if anyone has put on a new profile! (I work at home doing medical transcription so I have the luxury of doing this but I really should be working - right Lori and Becky? - hee)

The photos are wonderful! Keep em coming! And the life paths we have each taken are all so different and interesting.

I cannot respond to each and every new profile personally, BUT I want to say hello to all of you and hope to see you at the reunion (even though I am not 100% sure I can make it but am planning to).

I realize that most of the last 30 years have been spent just living life fast and furious for most of us (not giving much thought to our high school days) - now as we are "maturing" (clearing throat now), this is the time to reflect on our lives and think of those who were there with us at the start.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Chris Haltom-Farrar

Christi,

I am with you, I check it at least that many times a day. I am looking forward to more of our classmates to join. I now have figured out how to put photos on the photo page, so if anyone has anything they want added on that page you can email them directly to me at frazmania@aol.com. I would like to add them to our video as well!

Hello again,

I had cocktails with Randy, Rod, Kristi and Dixie last night. Took some pictures and added them to their profiles. (Sorry Kristi, you have been taking way to long to get that done. Just click in their profile to see if you can tell who is who. Kristi couldn't! I didn't get one of Dixie, sorry, but she already has a great one on here.

Cocktails??! Excuse me!! lol

Randy and Rodney - you look like your older brother, only younger of course!! :) I am guessing Rod has the longer beard. Am I right? Both of you Crows still exude "cool" even in photos!

Thanks Lori for posting the photos - Kristy, Lori is right - you still look as if you are 18!

It was 92 degrees in Austin today, a record high! Sending some of our warm weather up North to you.
Spring is in the air down here: South by Southwest (SXSW)Festival is jaming music on 6th Street and the Austin Rodeo is on. The 4th of July should be a HOT one in Iowa. See you then?
Ruth

Ruth, still haven't received that warm air yet. Maybe tomorrow? But for sure the 4th of July! Oh and welcome Pennie to the website. The more the merrier, I say. I have been adding stuff to the photo section, so check it out. If you want a picture added, email me at frazmania@aol.com.

Dan, I didn't realize that you were really good friends with Jeff. I think of him often, too - I remember his great big smile and how full of life he was. I also think of Doris a lot - she had such hopes and dreams for her life as we left high school. Just goes to show you that each day is a gift and we are all really blessed to still be here 30 years later.

Dan - can you put what you said about Jeff on your personal profile on the "In Memory" page if possible?

Ruth - you rat - you are making me jealous with your talk of warm weather in Texas! We have a good 2 months to go before we will get really warm weather - we have 2 seasons here in Colorado (and this is a quote from someone I worked with in Denver years ago): "Winter and August." lol That is not to mean that we only have one month of summer, i.e. August - it means we have really no change of seasons (at least here in the mountains) - it goes from snow to heat overnight.

Lori - LOVE your videos of Donny and the Jackson 5 (when Michael was cute!). I swooned over Donny with my cousin, Dixie Beck. Wayne took me to see The Monkees several years ago and we sat in the very back of the concert hall - I swooned over Davy "in the day" and at the concert that Wayne and I went to, I got to scream like a teenager at the top of my lungs, "I love you Davy!!!!!!" Wayne laughed and laughed.

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Oh yes The Monkees! Watching them on Saturday mornings! Loved that show. You are so lucky to get to see them. I bet they aren't doing much now, who wants to call them and see if they can come to our reunion!!

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Yeh, I bet Davy, Micky, Peter, and Michael aren't doing too much these days except sitting in rocking chairs on their porches in the Bahamas (with grandchildren and maybe even great-grandchildren on their knees). lol They might want to come to rural Iowa in July to entertain us at our reunion - who knows? In our dreams!! :)

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Oh my God - is Davy cute or what??? Gets my heart racing even now all these years later - I better go lie down. Hee.

P.S. Davy was the love of my life when I was 8 I believe - I moved on to Donny Osmond when I was around 10 and then to James Taylor when I was 13. :) But I have NEVER forgotten my first love. lol

03/24/08 02:56 PM #25

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Well I will work on Davy first, if I can't get him I will go onto Donnie. Last choice, I suppose I could work on David Cassidy. Surely, one of these would want to come to Milo, IA.

03/24/08 03:07 PM #26

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Good luck, Lori - let us know what Davy has to say! :) And Donny! Hee.

All I know is I am loving this web site - Angie Wright-Anderson is in awe of our class of 1978 site so I told her their class (1977) needs to get one of their own! She may be contacting you Lori, on finding out how to do it. She was the 1977 class president.

I am enjoying so much seeing the photos - all the places we have traveled and everyone's kids and grandkids (yikes!). Such beautiful happy families. Keep the photos coming!

Have a good week everyone.

Bad news! Davy is doing a show in Vegas July 4th and 5th. On to Donnie. Will keep you updated.

I am loving it that more people are getting on! Great class of 78!!

Barb,

Thanks for putting the Senior Spotlight on. I see that my plans turned out. Here I am working and married.

Okay, where is everyone, especially the committee members?! Hate to say it committee members, but you are taking the fun out of this site for everyone! You are supposed to be encouraging us and exciting us to come back for the reunion. Where are YOUR profiles and photos? I am not the only one who is losing my enthusiasm...get on the stick and show your school spirit!! You may be 30 years older, but that is NO excuse. lol I know some of you may not have home computers (you are lucky BTW) but there is the public library or friends or family who have computers that you can use! :)

Go Christy! Yes we need more people on! Where are you classmates???? I added a new photo on the Photo page? The first one to name all four or any one - gets a reward at the Class Reunion!

Such a darling photo, Lori! I already know (per you telling me) who the little girls are so I can't enter the contest. Bummer. :)
