Okay, Lori said my threatening post didn't work - didn't get anyone else to put their profile or photos on the SEW site. So, let's just use reverse psychology.....you know I really don't give a rip if anyone else puts their profile on this site! I don't care!!

Reverse psychology works really well on children...will it work on middle agers?? Time will tell. :)

Well, you know I am having fun with this site and that is all that matters! lol Here is a video with 30 years of dance moves - it will surely bring back memories for y'all. Hey Jim, can you dance as good as this guy? :) This video is too funny and if it doesn't make you laugh or at least smile, you are officially a curmudgeon! (remember learning that word in Mrs. ____ class - help me here - I can't remember her name but she was one of my favorite teachers in high school!) The mind is the second thing to go, you know. lol

Oh the Waltons. I used to love John Boy (and Davy and Donny and....), but now 30 years later, I can relate more with the Baldwin sisters. I understand them now. Hee.

OMG Cotten Eyed Joe....Christi where do you find that
and the short answer is NO I cant

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

You can't dance like that, Jim? Oh you surely jest! lol

I found the video while looking on adoption blog sites believe it or not - this particular blog, the gal puts a "Friday Dance Club" video every week on her blog. I thought it was hilarious and perfect for the SEW web site.

So you are a cotton-eyed Joe type of guy, huh? Hmmmm....so you did the country western dance hall thing in the 90s?? :) I went to them a bit - still think that Wayne and I need to take up country dancing - it would be fun!

Who was our teacher that gave us the word lists - to learn to spell and to learn the meaning of? I cannot remember her name! Those word lists have served me well over the years! I love impressing people with my "big" vocabulary. :) The class was college prep, I believe.

Anyway...she was one of my favorite teachers and I just cannot think of what her name was! That would be an interesting discussion - who our favorite teachers were! I have started with one of my favorites - who are some other favorites?!

Chris,
Not sure which teacher you are referencing as your favorite, but I know the HS English teacher I learned the most from was Sally Oldham. Is that who you were thinking of?

04/10/08 12:25 PM #43

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Barb - that's her!! Sally Oldham. Thank you so much - I was trying so hard to remember her name. I so liked her -has anyone kept in touch with her over the years I wonder.

What was the teacher's name who had the twin girls out of wedlock? I have NEVER forgotten one time she was taking personal questions from us and she was always talking kinda mean about having kids and I asked her if she had it to do over, would she have her kids and she bluntly said, "No." She was a case! She loved her girls, though, it was pretty obvious. She said things for the shock value a lot!

Barb, who are some other fave teachers for you and everyone else....favorite teachers in junior high and high school??

I also have to say since we have his daughter in our class *smile* that one of my fave teachers in grade school and junior high was Mr. Lundberg - I remember singing songs at the top of our lungs. Mr. L. made music fun!

There were so many that fell on the other side of the wall (if you know what I mean). Favorites were few and far between, but let's see:

Elementary - 6th Grade Ms. Nicewonger(spl ???) 4th grade Mrs. Vander Linden, Kindergarten - Mrs. Eden, and as you said, Music - Mr. Lundberg.

Jr High - Mr. Riley's class was always "interesting" Math teacher - Mr. Sleister (again spl???)

High school - Mr Brobst, Mr Young, Mrs. Oldham, Mrs Burrell, Mr Payne, Mr Carr, Mr. Wessilink(didn't have him for a class, but he was cool).

Memory is failing me now, I will look in my yearbooks when I get home tonight and add some more, I am sure there were others. I looked at them a while back and some of the teachers, I don't even remember.

There is also the principals, Mr Schnelle(JRHS & HS), Mr Eden(Elementary), (there goes the memory thing again).

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Oh and wasn't it Ms. Reid that had the twin daughters. I kind of liked her classes.

04/10/08 01:53 PM #47

Barbara Coffman (Weeks)

I never had Mrs Roberts so I didn't get a rose at graduation. And yes, Mr Clary was great. And don't forget Mr Fornash and Mr. Luse.

It was for the whole class. A big bouquet. I have a picture of Mr. Luse in the library when he was in charge for that period, I will try and post it.

Mr. Payne - Now that was a intersting class (NOT)
About the piture thing I think someone will have to go under cover and take covert pictures of some of our classmates. Hope we don't catch them doing anything wrong. LOL

I loved Mr. Payne. He was a very intelligent man. Did you read Patty's story about Mrs. Frizzell? So who put the rat in her desk?

You wouldn't know anything about that right?

04/10/08 08:35 PM #54

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

You all are acting like you are still in high school! Too funny.

Lori - I googled myself (ha) on the web and see that my SEW profile comes up in all its glory and ALSO all of our messages on the forum come up!! I don't really like that. Is there a way to make this board completely private unless accessed by a password?

How do others feel about having their info "out there" on the web?

Thanks Lori!

Chris
