We don't have any kids (yet) to take (wouldn't mind if they would take some of our cats - lol), but I have always been kind of wierded-out about having personal information on web sites for all the world (literally) to see!

It is a personal thing - I know a LOT of people in the adoption community who have public blog sites and put photos of their children on there and that is okay for them, but I will never do it. We have a password-protected site that we are using for the adoption, but I do have a public blog site that I sometimes post personal photos on (but take them off within a few weeks usually).

Guess I am showing my age maybe!! :( Most kids today are out there on the world-wide net and having a great time on MySpace, etc. but that is not for me.

Thanks for looking into this, Lori!

Chris

P.S. I am loving reading about favorite teachers and Terri, what you said about Mr. Carr is too FUNNY!!

OMG Bret - I was bent over laughing at your statement about Mr. Carr's eyes not going down that far. Too funny.

And Terri I cannot believe we wore such short skirts!!

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Oh Jim, I wouldn't dream of changing you and Bret - you're too entertaining.

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Lori, I did change my profile so it would be private - it is no longer out there on google - yay. I think you should change everyone's to private. Maybe if they knew the site was private, more would post and put photos on (i.e. Bret). I hope you can find a way to make this forum private now! The whole site basically.

Thanks!

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Scott - even YOUNG fuddy duddies are in bed at 2 in the morning!

Great class photos on the site, Lori. Yes, we WERE cute as bunnies. What happened?? lol

Seeing the class photos reminded me of dear Mrs. Curtis (Laurie R, Mary R, and I used to go stay all night with Mrs. Curtis and she would let us watch scary movies and eat cottage cheese). Remember that you guys? Who else was at those sleep-overs? I know Mrs. Curtis made it to 100+ years of age - what an inspiration.

Also there is NO WAY I could not list Mrs. Eubank (6th grade) as a favorite of mine.

Then of course, Mr. Butters for high school art - he really cared for the students and was so quiet and shy. I hope he is doing well - didn't he get married in his later years?

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Yep- Fuddie duds- that is what we are.

Mrs. Curtis let you spend the night with her? And cottage cheese?? I love cottage cheese, but......

Mrs. Eubanks was mean. Ask Eddie and Jeff. (Sorry Rhonda) She didn't like me, I was to ornery. She scared me.

Oh Christi, we have another meeting tonight. I promise I will put photo's on!

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

I remember the cottage cheese because I believe it was Mary (?)who liked ketchup (or was that Karo syrup?)on her cottage cheese. I forget what other "treats" Mrs. Curtis let us eat at her house but she was great fun!

Yes, Lori, Mrs. Curtis only let her FAVORITES stay the night at her house. lol Seriously, we NEVER stayed with her when we were actually in her class (I had her twice in 1st and 3rd grade)- it was only afterwards.

As for Mrs. Eubank, well obviously I was one of her favorites because she wasn't mean to me. hehehe I really liked her - I thought she was a fantastic teacher. Was she related to Ronda??? I didn't know that.

She was mean to Jeff and Eddie - well, there ya go - I'm sure she had GOOOODDD reason to crack the whip on those two :)

Everyone have a great weekend!

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Ick Mary!!! But I will get you some for the Class Reunion. And with you being so feisty now, I bet Mrs. Curtis wouldn't let you stay with her now. hehe She was a very nice teacher though.

MRS CURTIS WAS ALRIGHT EVEN THOUGH I REMBER NOT HAVING VERY MANY RECESSES IN 2ND GRADE OR WAS IT 5TH GRADE. I THINK SHE MUST OF HAD A THING FOR ME OR SOMTHING. LOL SHE LIVED HERE IN CHARITON AND I USED TO SEE HER QUITE OFTEN, SHE WORKED AT THE BEN FRANKLIN STORE UNTIL SHE WAS LIKE 98 OR 99 AROUND THERE SOMEWHERE AND SHE ALWAYS KNEW WHO I WAS AND WOULD TALK MY LEG OFF I THINK SHE WAS 101 OR 102 WHEN SHE DIED. AS FOR MRS EUBANKS SHE WAS A LITTLE MEAN BUT A GOOD TEACHER NONE THE LESS IT WAS 3RD GRADE WITH MY G-MA FOR A TEACHER THAT WAS TUFF SHE ALWAYS TRYED TO MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF ME BUT I STILL LOVED HER GOD REST HER SOUL.

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Oh it was 3rd and 5th that I was in Mrs. Curtis' class, not 1st and 3rd - had Mrs. Mosher in 1st grade - now she was a "strict" teacher! :)

Really I remember ALL my teachers with fondness. I had a wonderful youth - couldn't ask for more.

Hope you had a productive meeting last night, Lori! :)

Scott - I think ALL the boys in our class were just too ornery and we girls were angels! hehehe Thanks for the info on Mrs. Curtis, God rest her soul. She was a delightful person.
