He was tickled to be asked and disappointed that he'll miss it. Tried VanStrien's house today with no answer, but his son called me back this afternoon. Said his dad would be around tomorrow am so I'll talk to him then. I'm going to ask Mr. Carr next unless someone tells me differently! Maybe Joe and Gary should track down Mr. Blount. Dianne

06/10/09 05:51 PM #841     Ruth Bertrand (Hall) Hello Classmates: I just returned from my Las Vegas Trip and thought I would update those who like poker... Played well at the Ladies WSOP, out of 1,060 women I ended my tournament @ 198 after running into pocket aces. I cashed in 4 other tournaments: 12th @ Binions in a field of 133 ladies, 1st at GN Daily tournament, 3rd @ Harrah's bounty tournament, and my big win was for a diamond bracelet and cash @ Golden Nugget. I won 1st place in the Queen of Poker tournament out of 232 women. Lots of fun with the family including shopping, 4 star dining, David Copperfield show and Chippendale's dancers to name a few of the things we were able to do. If I can win my seat to the final event, I will be one of 12,000 after the big bucks.... who knows I might go?

He is going to see if he can come in later to work that day or something. He has already asked for the Saturday before off also, so he's not sure what Sears will say. He'll call and let me know. Do I get ahold of Mr. Carr next or what? Where's Dan at for direction on this? DDDaaaaaannnn!!

06/12/09 12:40 PM #853     Danny Beck Good Job, Dianne. Hell, let's get a whole herd of teachers. That would be sweet to have a float full of captured teachers. The parade crowd would love to see all of them. We have to get some big ol'name thingies to hang around their necks. Lori, we just need to have a back drop with some graffiti sprayed on it. As many classmates as possible in western wear. We could actually walk along the float and toss candy to the kiddies and point out our posse of teachers to the crowd. Yes, the more teachers, the better.
