Oooh, Terri - I like that one!! Good thinking! I'm sure we could find a CD (or Dan could make one) with the "Rawhide" theme and we could play that on the float. Kevin said last night he could build a "jail" if you want him to.

Dan, I was in NYC for a roundtable discussion through the International Trademark Association. Meredith has offices in midtown Manhattan so I'm feeling pretty comfortable navigating through midtown. Haven't tried the subway by myself yet - always been with others so I just walk everywhere. The best part is that I get to fly on the company Learjet so I don't have to fly commercial. Then Meredith rents several apartments in midtown so if I schedule my visits early enough I get to stay in an apartment. Needless to say I've gotten pretty spoiled... I've told myself I am going to try something new each time I visit. This time I ate octopus...loved it!!

YEP! I'll put a CD together with some Rawhide and some Clint Eastwood spaghetti western theme tunes and some other western music. YEEE HAW!

The jail would be good.

Octopus? Craziest thing I have ever eaten on purpose was dog meat when I was in Seoul, South Korea. Tasted like Canadian Bacon. Makes me wonder what kind of pigs those Canucks have up there.

SO when and where are we going to build this? Oh, Becky, is your Dad in? Our garage is comeplety full, but if need be I can make Kevin set our 3 riding lawn mowers (2don't work) and 3 push mowers out for a couple of days, and God knows what else is stuck in there.

I can check with Dad and see if he can loan us his garage for a while. As far as putting it together, since the 4th falls on Saturday, I have Friday off as the holiday so I am fine if we get together any time on Friday to work on it. When will you get to town, Dan??

Sounds like a plan. I'll ask Kevin to get working on a "jail" of some kind. What color should we paint the big sign? I'm sure we've got some extra paint in his shop. Do you want something dark, and then we can paint bright letters? Do we want to say "Wild & Crazy Class of '78"? Should we say "1878? We can work on the lettering on the 3rd. This will be fun!!

I asked Carolyn to put something in the Milo News that "The SEW Class of '78 will be having a float again in this year's 4th of July parade and would like to challenge other SEW classes to give them some competition." I haven't heard back from her yet but hopefully it's not too late for her to put something in the paper.

I was thinking this morning too, Lori, about what I might wear. I have some things that I've worn before in the Log Cabin Days parade. I'll come up with something.

I may regret this but I am going to be wearing all black. Including KISS make up as we are WILD! The chaps are not going to happen unless I find a cheap pair. Western wear just ain't my thing. I am purchasing my western gear on the cheap. It is going to be a blast!

Lori- the teacher count so far is 2 "maybes" from Mr. Carr and Mr. Van Strien if he can change his work schedule that day. Also, Jim is going to ask Mr. Butters if he is interested in riding on the float. I'd called and left a msg at the Burrell's and haven't heard back so I'll try again.

Edgar Enterline sorry, scott H. and i have been doing the no rain chant, mybe we over did it , now working on the temp, u be carfull pulling weeds we dont want any more friends getting sick or passing away ,i'v had heat stroke and it's not fun ...want everybody 2 have fun on the 2nd 3rd and 4th , u all keep cool....
