Hey Dianne, have you heard back from any teachers? I am still waiting on Mr. Fornaish. Dan- are we getting together on the 2nd to get this float planned.
The Class of 78 wants to challenge all other classes to enter a float in the Milo July 4th parade. The alumni association will have a float, plus the very first SEW homecoming queen riding in a 1960 convertible! Parade theme is WILD WILD WEST!
We have made our challenge- now let's get busy. Should be fun.
Yes, let's get together on the 2nd to finalize the game plans for the float. We can use all hands available.
Where are Mr. Blount, Mrs. Frizzell, Miss George, Miss Conway (grrrr), Mr. Koskovich, Senor Payne and Mr. Wesselink. My condolences if any of these have passed on. We have to get at least four former teachers to make this look good.
I am getting all my western wear one at a time. The chaps are out for now. I’ll keep looking but I am not spending a fortune for a one-time thing. HMMM!?!? Maybe, nah, that is wrong.
Mr. Payne is in Good Samaritan Nsg home in Indianola. Maybe Dan could break him out for the day to ride on the float. He'd probably love it. Still trying Burrells. I'll get ahold of Jim Carr and Ron VS this wknd to see if they've decided on what they're doing. Lori-I think you should call Forinash. I'll tell Burrells he's riding so maybe they will also if they're around and they usually are. I'll try to have a definite teacher count by the first of next week. Dianne
RIP Michael Jackson. One of "our own" from our generation - although I was an Osmond Brothers fan mostly, I always thought that Michael Jackson was absolutely brilliant and had his albums even in the 80s until the scandals when I sold the albums. He was such a tragic figure (and of questionable reputation), but what an all-around amazing talent. I would have to say this song is a favorite. Just wanted to put something on here regarding him since he was part of all of our early years.
I cannot believe that the 4th is almost here - it seems like yesterday we were having our reunion. You ALL have a wonderful time at the parade and picnic and take LOTS of photos and post them here.
P.S. I also have been wanting to tell you, Ruth, that your Texas Hold 'Em involvement sounds like SO much fun! You go girl! Life should be fun (as much as possible anyway - *smile*)!
YEE HAW!!!! It is almost here. C'mon Edgar, Mike, Greg, Rick (er..Dianne), Eddie, Kristy, Jeff, Brett, Max. Everyone that is still living in glorious south Central Iowa. Kelly, Davey, Barb, Brad, Jimmy, Michelle, Joe, Crow Boys, Carla. Here is a chance to be a teen again and have some fun with the best damn class to graduate from S.E.W. Edgar, I demand you are with us on the 4th. Or else I will hunt you down and take your picture. This has to be a first for school's history to have a class get together two years in a row.
I am excited. I am proud of who we are and gosh darn it, I am gonna whoop it up next Saturday.
I think I will let Senor Payne have a relaxing 4th. GEEZ! I do not need any possible incident on my conscience.
OK Danny, Kristi and Eddie will NOT be there. Not sure of Michele and Brad. Just talked to Greg, and yes he will be here. Becky, Kevin (who is not allowed a squirt gun) Mike, haven't contacted the twins yet), Terri will BE there(right Terri), Jim will not be there. No teachers as of right now. So I suggest we tie you up- play Rawhide
and say we tried to keep him calm last year, but...
DANG teachers. Never could rely on them. HMPH! We will have to brainstorm for another plan. The salon sounds good but it may be a bit of a challenge to produce.
I think Dan needs to find some meds again. EDGAR!!!! So cool to have you back and smartin' off again. C'mon, you have to have a cool idea for our float. HUH?!?!??
