Here is a list of the top songs in 1977 - no Linda songs, but there is a James Taylor and how could I forget Hotel California! Lots to choose from Dan and others. Any favorites from this list - you can also look at the top songs from 1978 on this site. Great suggestions Becky!

Lori where have you gone to?? You've been so quiet lately!

I think you will have to copy and paste this url into your browser.

Oh Chris- I have been quiet now haven't I? What a change! Spring is here- and I have been running, running, running. (Not literally though, hehe, should be) Helping on the benefit for Kathy, I will post something on it soon. waiting for Scott K. and Jim R.'s approval on the poster. And I have been waiting and waiting for more of our classmates to join us. By the way Carol, it is great to have you on with us. Where are you CLASSMATES????? We need more pictures so we can laugh at everyone. I mean I can't continuously go to Dan's sight and look at "Lil Cardinal" for giggles, now can I?

05/06/08 08:46 PM #112

Danny Beck

Yeah, that is exactly why I posted the photos of my youth for Lori's amusement. Please! By all means, go to www.cardinal45.com and get the giggles out of your system. I mean EVERYONE!!!!

HA HA!!!! This is too much fun.

We do need more photos. There has to be more. What did the school do with all the photos taken during our Senior year? There must be dozens of photos that never appeared in the yearbook. It would be a shame if they were discarded. *HINT*

There you are, Lori! Yes, spring puts a spring in our step literally, huh? I know you in Iowa had a very rough winter so bet you are thrilled warm weather is finally here.

Yes, great to "see" you Carol! Photos? :)

I still wonder where all the committee members are and Marcie and Brenda - such good friends I lost touch with a long time ago unfortunately. :( I would LOVE to see photos of your families and hear about your lives!! Come on! Please put your profile on the site.

I have graduation photos in a photo album that are yellowed and glued to the pages - the only way I can put them on the site is to take them to a printer here in town and have them scanned - the photos won't feed through my scanner here at home.

Have a good Wednesday all.

Ok- Christi- head to the printer's. We want more pictures! Guess we won't be having a CD done..... not enough pictures.

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

I will try to get to the printer's soon. Will try!

Okay, I am rather dense but what exactly does "Homecomings of the Past" mean???

If it means to have floats with the theme of nostalgia, then I still say we should do something with disco and the 70's on the float. Have disco music blaring.

However, I don't know if this goes with the theme, but I don't know what the theme means!! lol

05/07/08 04:11 PM #116

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Ok, I might try to do some more digging too.

"Homecoming"- like our homecomings we had in school. Micki (Bauer)Page suggested to the 4th of July comittee, that maybe it would bring more people back to Milo this year, and since it is on a Friday- I know a few other classes are participating in it as well. So we have to do our best. Greg, has contacted Mr. Butters to help design it- but don't let the secret out.

05/07/08 04:32 PM #117

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Well, that would make it even more appropriate for a disco theme - to have a few people be on the float dancing to YMCA (ha!) and dressed in 70's garb - the rest of us could sit or walk by the float (notice how I said "the rest of us" as I am not going to be dancing on a moving float at MY age - ha). That is MY suggestion but far be it from me....!!!

Get some of our football players up there....

Other ideas?

Mr. Butters designing it - how cool is that?

Danny Beck

BUTTERS?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Is he going to cover it in a sheet of copper and then make a ceramic top? Butters?!?!?!? Are you serious?

I can't wait to see this.

HA HA!!!!

05/07/08 06:56 PM #119

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Hey- you come up with an idea than! Oh by the way I am enjoying the CD, alot! But I am wondering why these songs are now being played on KIOA? Remember the station? Oldies but goodies? What is up with that?

05/07/08 07:39 PM #120

Christina Haltom (Farrar)

Dan -

Mr. Butters did the BEST he could with what he had to work with and "who" he had to TRY to teach to be artistic! lol

A float made of copper with a ceramic top sounds pretty inventive to me!

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Yea Dan!-- By the way, I was looking through the album and I didn't see any pictures of our awesome floats. Does anyone out there have any photos of the floats?

Can someone fill me in to why the donations for Kathy?

05/07/08 08:36 PM #123

Lori Godlove (Goering)

Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is going through more tests, should get some results back this week. Then again at the end of the month. We are planning a Poker Run for her on June 14th also. Jim and Scott K. are doing the map for the run, Kristi, Michelle, myself and Jim's wife Karen, Max and Brenda, Eddie and Joe Wright are working on other projects. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Prayers and good wishes are with you Kathy. You will beat this!! We all love you.

Okay - new photos on the photo page!! I've done my part - who is next? Look how YOUNG we look! Goodness. Were we really that young once?

Great Pictures! Need more.

Lori Godlove (Goering)

So, Christi, I was only quiet for awhile! he he- Dan- kudos to you on the 2nd release of the CD- $ in the mail. Even though I see no Guess Who. Hmm, is there a 3rd one in the making? I love it, that even 30 years later after we have graduated, that we still think about and care about our classmates. I work with a girl that graduated for SEW (not going to mention any names, Micki), and only had 30 some classmates, and can't remember half of their names. And our class, the biggest class ever at SEW, and not keeping good contact at all, still wants to have the best reunion ever. How fun is that???

Oh by the way Ruth, I think "Hot Legs" was for you, since that was one of your favorites.

Just getting home from the Ace Frehley concert. WOW! What a concert. He played a ton of KISS tunes. I was not allowed to bring my camera so no pics. I got really close to meeting him but the stage manager said that the band needed to hit the road. It still rocked. I am never going to get old.

Lori, the Guess Who was pretty much through by 1977-78. I am thinking of doing another CD with some rockers from our entire high school years which will allow some more choices.

Thank you to everyone that has placed orders. This is a fun and great way to help out a classmate.

I was still listening to them. Must have been on KIOA.

Well bless his heart! My goodness, how old is he now? Even 30 years ago he seemed ancient. lol I always liked him, though, and felt rather sorry for him as the kids were kinda disrespectful and he was just so nice right back to them. Now I realize HE had the upper hand but we didn't know it.
