Lima Senior High School
Class of 1961 61st Reunion
Dear Classmates,
As most of you know by now, our 60th class reunion has been canceled. The reasons appear to be many. Most may be age related as all of us enter our eighth decade. It seems like a lifetime ago when we walked for our high school diploma that warm June day in 1961. Our faces were filled with hope. We were eager to start our lives as young adults. The word 'commencement' was indeed the word of the day. A new beginning was at hand and we were up to the challenge. We set high standards and what a proud and diversified group we turned out to be. Our goals were grounded in exploration, energy and integrity.
Now is the time to embrace our golden years, to keep in touch with positive and cheerful old friends and acquaintances. Many never get to this stage in life. To date, we've lost over thirty-five percent of our classmates. We're the lucky ones. Take time to have pride in what you've achieved. It is time to be at rest, at peace and as happy as we can be.
It has recently been voted that the Lima classmate's luncheons will take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month throughout the year. It will remain at the Eagles on West Robb Avenue at noon.
