Raye Laughlin ARLINGTON -- Raye Luanne Laughlin, 74, passed away at home on Saturday, August 19, 2017. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Trinity UMC, 1200 West Green Oaks, Arlington, 76013. Raye was born Feb. 23, 1943, to Lynden R. and Dorothy Perkins in Lima, Ohio. She graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1961. Shortly after she moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she met her husband Dennis, and they were married February 19, 1966. In 1982, the family moved to Arlington, Texas. Raye worked as a Special Needs School Bus driver for 22 years, and she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; son, Douglas; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. SURVIVORS: She is survived by her daughter, Denise West and husband, Jessie; son, Nathan Laughlin; sister, Barbara Evers; brother, Lynden Perkins; and grandchildren, Jonathan West and Jessica West.
