Jeannette J. Sheets, age 73, passed away July 9, 2017, at 4:00 am, at the Cridersville Health Care Center. Jean was born July 19, 1943 in Lima, OH, to Franklin and Ethel (Baker) Wheelbarger who preceded her in death.
Jean was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She was a active member of Union Chapel Missionary Church where she had taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Eagles Aerie #370 where she served as chaplain and the Red Hat Society. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her children: David (Teresa) Geer of Findlay, OH and Joshua McGinnis of Lima, OH, a brother, Jack (Judy) Wheelbarger of Elida, OH, 3 grandchildren; Trave Geer, Dreama Geer and Jaden Money and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Union Chapel Missionary Church at 4869 Ada Rd., Lima, OH 45801. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Bayliff. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date.
Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Chapel Missionary Church.
