I knew Arnie and his immediate family (parents, brothers) as members of Lincolnwood Jewish Congregation. Arnie and I were in the same grade from grammar school through high school. Although I didn't have any contact with him after that, I would occasionally see him at the synagogue until he went on his own path in life. Through his older brother, with whom I had contact with Zoom meetings sponsored by the synagogue during COVID, I learned rich and engaging his life had become. May his memory be for a blessing.

I remember Arnie from grammar school. For some reason, when I think of him, I also think of Marty and Don David. Like so many classmates, we eventually lost track of one another as life carried us through high school, college, careers, families, and the years that followed.

In many ways, that is exactly why we established the 65jaguars website, so that after all these years, we could find one another again, stay connected, share memories, and keep track of the people who were part of our lives so long ago.

It is always sad for me to post the obituary of a classmate. Not necessarily because we remained close friends, but because each loss is a reminder of the passage of time and, inevitably, of what the future holds for all of us.

My memories of Arnie are nothing but good ones, and I am grateful to have them.  I hope that we can locate some more of our missing classmates and add them to the Website.

May his memory be for a blessing.
