As I sit here at my computer, listening to the CD, Mr. Tony made and looking at the white scarf, that was at one time, was around his neck during his infamous, Elvis Tribute.
I must tell you, Tony's performance, Saturday night at the Royale Theater in Benton was beyond anything, even the audience and I could have ever expected! Every song, from what Kim said, of the 42 songs were lead by strong applause and shouts of approval! Tony's voice, as wrote in many articles is so close to Elvis's vocals, with the same powerful, deep, smooth and high~pitch sound that, one could have only felt like, he or she was getting a second chance in life to hear the King on stage! Yet, Tony did have his own flair for humor, plus his love for Skittles candy, and that big belt that he couldn't keep on those swinging hips and shaking legs! haha..lolol!
But, what truly moved the audience and I was Tony's testimony for his love and thankfulness to our God and Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and for his gift to entertain and share it with others. Also, Tony spoke of the love and support of his wife and their five daughters, who happened to be part of his show in different areas; such as, greeting guests,taking tickets and the lighting (very,very well done). You couldn't have met a nicer bunch of young people, in this kind of business! All of these things mixed together, made the show more inspirational and memorable!
Personally, I had the time of my life, I don't know about the lady behind me! I was screaming and bouncing around, heck if given the chance and a few drinks, I may have lost my undergarments, blah! Just kidding, April, who was sitting a couple of rows behind me! I hope, Tony comes back, because he's gonna need a bigger place,'cause next time, we're all showing up! Thank you for such an awsome and unforgettable evening!
Also, thanks, Mr. Tony for the picture with me. My teacher was so~ moved, I did get an extra day on my paper! Yet, she's not getting the scarf, you signed, I barely remember getting it! Your CD totally rocks! I'm going to do my best to show up, both in Morrilton, AR. and Memphis,TN. to support you! I'll keep you posted! Does this make me a "hippie~groupie"? blah..jeez, pfft!
The pictures, I shot during Tony's performance including the ones at Grumpy's. I've sent on a CD to Robin. She will put them on the Photobucket website. !Always!
