Ok everyone I think Stephanie Butler Percefull and Robin Johnson Miller deserve a big "SHOUT OUT!" and a "THANK YOU" for taking the time to create this fun little place to see what we are all up to these days. Thanks for taking the time to track us all down and let us know when some of our classmates pass on. My hats off to you two ladies and anyone else working on this site. Keep up the great work! I am only sorry I wont be there for the 25 year reunion to thank you in person. Any plans for a 30th? I should be retired by then LOL!

Ditto, what the guys said! This is really fun and it's great to see what everyone has been up to and where everyone is, especially for those of us that have been so lame otherwise keeping up, lol! Thanks for providing this for all of us and I hope word spreads so everyone will share some pics of life today.

I will echo the sentiments of gratitude to Robin and Stephanie. I like this forum so much more than Classmates.com; this is far more personal and intimate to our class. Thank you both for your efforts and time.

Am I the only one feeling freakin old right now?? :-)

but I would also like to thank the folks involved in this site - it has entertained me all morning !

04/05/08 04:53 PM #8

Keith Evans

Hey Suzanne!

FEELING OLD! Whats up with that? If Ameritrade has a commercial on TV that says 50 is the new 40. Then 40 must be the "NEW 30" so we are all still young LOL!

If all else fails I always find a short trip to Toys R Us helps keep me feeling young!

Suzanne J. Gross (Williams)

O.K. I did just color my hair so I feel a bit younger with the grey hidden -- and I see the podiatrist monday to fix my stupid bad foot -- that should take at least 10 years off me ...

Who wants to go cruisin???? Maybe hit a midnite showing of Rocky Horror??? I'll bring the toilet paper and toast!!

haha

04/05/08 10:59 PM #10

John Big John Cohen

Hey Keith...Toys R Us ?? When the new wears off try dancin with the Rat at Chucky Cheese...

Suzanne....Cruisin, Rocky Horror, uhhh your gonna get us in trouble, I have spent the past 18 yrs trying to convince my two boys we didnt do that kind of stuff and the pictures were photo shopped...Still cant believe they fell for that one...

Thanks for the smiles folks...

04/06/08 09:19 AM #11

Easy Big John!

Chucky Cheese? now thats a mad house! Maybe one of the reasons I never had kids LOL!

Whats all this talk of The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Did anyone really go watch that back then? I thought most went to see midnight showings of Pink Floyd The Wall! Or laser light shows set to music?

04/06/08 10:58 AM #12

Suzanne J. Gross (Williams)

Chuck E. Cheese is a nightmare - I HATE that rat

and yes we did go to midnite Rocky Horror - I can't remember any details as to what theatre or anything - I bet Bobbi Britton would though - she was the smart one in our group .. lol

I don't think I ever did the pink floyd thing - mostly we just went up and down geyer springs or out to sit by the river -- things that didn't cost any money (other than gas)Good Lord we would really be hurting if we were trying to cruise with todays gas prices huh??

04/06/08 11:23 AM #13

Keith Evans

Gas prices! OMG! it's $3.37 a gallon here in N.C. for the cheap stuff. My soldiers think I am crazy when I talk of gas at less than a dollar a gallon!

Now the river that was where the hoods from the smoke hole skipped school and partied all day. ha ha. I think they built a road over I Murry Lock and Damn into North Little Rock? Or it could be Terry Lock and Damn? Hell I get them mixed up! I may be wrong maybe some one who is still in Arkansas can chime in and give more details if we can get them to read the forum LOL.

Well Its Sunday here rainy and nasty out. So I'm doing chores and surfing the net let me here from ya!

04/06/08 01:08 PM #14

Suzanne J. Gross (Williams)

It's rainy and nasty here today too - I should be doing chores but ... i don't wanna-

We lived back in Arkansas (Jacksonville) for a few years and I went back over the river to Geyer Springs area cuz my nephew had to go to an alternative school there.

I hardly recognized a thing .. lol I drove through McClellan and it's part of the Little Rock School District now .. wasn't it pulaski county special school district 25 years ago? The school looked small - i remember it being HUGE -

I tried to explain cruisin the springs to my nephew .. even took him on the tour - i think he thought i was a loser ... haha

at least my daughter was into rollin houses when she was in high school - me and one of her friends dads took them out and bought the toilet paper for them to roll their other friends until they got old enough to drive!

I would roll one of my neighbors now but we live on an army post and the MP's would probably get me ...

04/06/08 02:47 PM #15

Keith Evans

Rolling houses? I dont think I have seen that done in years. Kids now days are too busy with texting on cell phones and Play Station 3 to even fathom something like that ha ha ha. That requires to much energy I guess LOL!

I just watched a DVD "Invasion" with Nicole Kidman it was pretty good Sci-Fi. Now I am off to go bowling and check on all my little troopers in the barracks fun, fun, fun.

Talk to ya laters.......

Keith we do have a bridge over Murray Lock and Dam Now..Its un-official name as coined by the local media...The Big Dam Bridge...It is a pedestrian/Bicycle bridge connecting the two parks..Lr and NLR...completing a bike and walk path from downtown to Murray and over then back to Burns Park....Yesss we did hang out at the sand bars of the river,,,Yes I did my fair share of cruising Geyer Springs..Even took my sons to Military in Benton in my restored 68 Camaro 10 years ago...Introduced them to the stories of Geyer Springs...even managed to find a race while we were riding around...Funnest part of the entire evening with my boys was me boiling tires off of the car in a parking lot only to be hit with the blue lights of Bentons Finest...awwwww but the grin I got when i was told by the officer to step out of the car and he realized I was the oldest teenage cruiser he had seen...

Rocky Horror Picture Show...was shown maninly in NLR, McCain Mall Lower Level...Dont remember the theater name though....Also had a limited showing on Markham around John Barrow,,,

Anyone remember the Heights Theatre...I know we would venture in there looking for the young ladies of
Mt. St. Marys........Wow, I guess I didnt kill off as many brain cells as i had originally believed...Have a Great Week Folks..

04/06/08 07:19 PM #17

Lora Laffan

Oh my, things that have changed from then to now....we live near a beach/boardwalk (Virginia Beach) and evidently it used to be the place to "cruise" here but now there are signs down there that say no cruisin and to the affect if police notice you pass same spot more than twice in an hour or some such nonsense, they will pull you over, LOL

Ok, I have to admit I do still occasionally get my kicks at Chuck E Cheese though....try this: mid week, no one there but staff and go with a half dozen 'professional colleagues', otherwise involved in stuffy regulatory business. Pizza, pitcher of beer and endless air hockey and skee ball tournament. Now that was the best 'retreat' my team has ever had!

Stephanie, Not only have i been sitting on the fence but i have been one of the poles holding it in place. But, since this web site has been active and I am seeing so many of people that made me smile during those years. I just can't help to think that those who I have smiled and shared stories about over the past 25 years. Will be the ones who will make me smile for 25 years more....

Ok, people if I make the move there will be a section of the fence fall, so come on through, follow me......
