Don't forget to let us know when you change your home address, phone number and email address. It makes it easier to communicate with each of you and keeps us from having to search for you when it's time for the next reunion.

I don' t know what it is about the start of school, the weather getting a little less hot, and labor day fast approaching that gets me in such a great mood. I think it is the football games(Razorbacks), the State Fair and all those things I remember that was great about highschool restarting each year, especially seeing everyone again after a summer of fun. I guess it is that nostalgic feeling that fall brings. Hope everyone had a great Summer and an even better Fall. Go Hogs.

Future Lion's Night Outs (LNOs):
September LNO will be on 9/26! Location to be determined/announced. The Class of 1984 is having their 25th H.S. Reunion that weekend & we want them to come over to LNO as an "after party". We REALLY want to see all of them! I'm excited about it!

October LNO will be on 10/24. Kim Mordecai & I take in consideration what's going on in central AR in planning each LNO. Also, we know there's a Razorback game in Oxford, MS (vs Ole Miss) that day. Game time has not been announced yet. So, that will depend where we will have an LNO. If it's televised that night, we may have LNO at a sports bar, so we can watch the game together. What fun that will be! I'll try to not yell too loud. LOL!

November LNO will probably be held sometime Thanksgiving weekend due to our out-of-town/state friends coming home for the holiday. One of my buddies, Carl Barrentine, has told me he will come home for Thanksgiving. If you know anyone else coming home, please inform us.

Please don't forget to RSVP to each LNO! Thanks!

Special note:
Kim & I normally don't plan LNOs this far in advance, but we have for Autumn 2009. We usually plan them one (month) at a time.

I plan to take pictures at each LNO and post them on Facebook. Also, I want to take "class pictures", Lionette, Band, & other "group type" pictures at each LNO. So, please put on your "happy face" for me!

Once you go to an LNO, you get it! It's like a "mini reunion" every month. Also, it's a surprise each time of who shows up, so don't miss out on the fun times with friends!

By the way, McClellan's Homecoming will be held on 10/23. More information to come.

Please keep in touch & let us know what's going on with you! Hope to see you at an LNO! Thank you!
Caroline Pruitt Schaefer and Kim Mordecai

I haven't been on this site in almost a year now..and maybe it took me this long to completely appreciate the ability to see your face or chat with you....or maybe it was a fear of getting close to say goodbye, yet again to someone.

I was only a public student for 2 years and I loved switching from the private schooling to McClellan. I was in choir, somthing that wasn't offered in the private school at the time. I met some wonderful people at McClellan, Ricky Cole, Dante Pounders, David DeArmond, Roger Brewer and others that touched my life with permanent thumb prints.

As the years pass our class count drops, I loose touch with so many of you and before it is my number or anyone else's I just want to say a sincere thank you to all who were welcoming to me all those years ago and still welcome me as a member of the McClellan family.

My youngest sister, Cammy had Lymphoma and has survived 5yrs. This is a very important event for my family as well as for all the other many, many other families effected by these illnesses. Please be a part of this important evening of October 24th, by donating, lighting a candle or a light~bulb to all the people who have survived and to those who lost their lives. I am very blessed to have my sister, Cammy in my life and many of you have been a friend to her for many years. If you would like to read more or to make a donation to her team its:

Many of you probably have heard this on the radio or television but I am going to put one more pitch out there for help. Arkansas Childrens Hospital is in a contest to win a gameroom for the children who are hospitalized. Only the top 3 hospitals who recieve the largest number of votes will win the gamerooms. Arkansas Childrens has been at the 1st and 2nd spots all along until the last 2 days( We were 4th last night). We need everyone to register and vote for ACH. It is free!! and you can vote up to 10 times. Today is the last day. If you can take a moment, a free moment the kids would appreciate it plus we can't let another state beat Arkansas, can we??? The website is http://xbox.childrensmiraclenetwork.org then click on the gameroom giveaways.
This address below is a fast link but I don't know how to get it so you can click on it.

Thank you ahead of time.

p.s. Anyone who is walking tomorrow at the Komen race for the cure, I will see you there.

Gina,
I am glad she has made it to 5 years and I will be glad to read about the light the night info. It sounds like a very important cause.

Veteran~by Unknown Author

It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,

It is the
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,

ETERNAL
REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE
UPON THEM.

I would be EXTREMELY proud if this message reached as many as possible. We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.

God Bless them all!!!

Our thanks will never be enough for what they have given to our country!

THANK YOU to our Veterans for your service.

Does anyone know if Keith Evans is still deployed? What about Kenneth Cane?

Travis Nelson is currently in the combat zone in Iraq, so we especially remember him today.
