As a sophomore, Mike won a part in the Wildcat Follies that was pretty important. He was always friendly, and cutting up between practices. And, it seemed to me that he was always able to see something light-hearted in any situation we faced. For some reason (maybe he played Mark Anthony in The Difference Is...), he had to cry during one set of lines. Unable to bring the emotion up, he used some sort of chemical to cause the tears to flow. I always wondered if he damaged his eyes doing that. We were lucky to have such pleasant people at NLRHS to essentially remind us daily that nothing was that lifechanging!
