I suspect that 51 years later we are all commenting that we wished we had kept up with someone. Kim and I had several classes together, and one summer worked as lifeguards together at a neighborhood swimming pool. He had the most wonderful sense of humor. But, he was also quite intelligent, and headed to a fantastic career after college. I know that we got together the first Christmas after high school graduation, and I am pretty sure we did again a few years later. I was headed to law school. We discussed the past and the future, and I am certain I made a mental note to stay in touch. What a wonderful person!
As a sophomore, Mike won a part in the Wildcat Follies that was pretty important. He was always friendly, and cutting up between practices. And, it seemed to me that he was always able to see something light-hearted in any situation we faced. For some reason (maybe he played Mark Anthony in The Difference Is...), he had to cry during one set of lines. Unable to bring the emotion up, he used some sort of chemical to cause the tears to flow. I always wondered if he damaged his eyes doing that. We were lucky to have such pleasant people at NLRHS to essentially remind us daily that nothing was that lifechanging!
Tom was one of the nicest, most friendly, and most humble people I ever knew. We shared some activities in high school. He always seemed interested in what anyone had to say. And, I was hoping he would be at the Reunion in a couple of weeks. I will miss his gentle spirit. Godspeed to his family.
It is good to find out where people are! Actually, during FB post about "Lather" a few months ago, I often thought about your choreography talents! So, are you in Missoula, Montana because you married an Air Force missile officer, or is it an even better story that that? AND, as a follow up, "yes, you can say love," and we are looking forward to seeing you in October.

Welcome aboard! A realtor in Plano? I was down there to visit a friend once. Living with her sister, it turned out we were on the golf course to a country club. The high school was there, and the hospital was there, and everything else seemed to be open prairie. Three years later I was back visiting different friends, and everything was built up. I am not sure if you were there for the boom, but if so, it must have been hectic! Tom(my) Carpenter

This is great! David always said he wished to be a veterinarian, and I know from how he handled my pets he had the touch to be a great one.

Welcome aboard, Debbie! I wondered what had happened to you, and no one could tell me. I hope you come to the 50th Reunion. I will always remember you as always prepared in Mrs. Week's trig/analytic geometry class! Tom Carpenter
Dear Bonnie,
It was good to see your post. And, the fact that you retired as a high school librarian is near and dear to my heart since that is what Mother did for so many years. (In fact, I remember the day when she was crestfallen -- a couple of years ago -- because for the first time no one in the bank remembered she was the librarian, or that their parents remembered he as librarian (but she was 90, give me a break!). Roger Fowler is in the metroplex now. Things sound nice. I am married with two sons. One is an M.D. looking for a residency, and the other is an attorney who works for the state. I am the City Attorney in Little Rock, and have been for 28 years (35 years in the office). Please come to the reunion.
Tom
Welcome aboard! Hope all is going well with you. Tom
I think Roger wins the award for least changed member of our class! If he had titled his head just a tad for the now picture, then except for the length of hair there would be no difference! That said, I have had the good fortune to be in touch with him this year. He is also the very same humble, helpful, good friend that we remember from high school. Thanks for posting, Roger.
