Dennis Massler

BA from Temple followed by Medical school at UMDNJ, now Rutgers Medical School. Residency in psychiatry at New York Medical College in NYC while my professors were writing the book still used until today to teach Psychiatry- a true blessing. Went directly into the directorship of the teaching and therapy program at UMDNJ as an asst prof in Psych and Ob-Gyn. Founded the program in sexuality at the state medical school. For years, I epitomized the axiom "Those who can Do, Those who can't Teach: Known for my expertise in sex therapy and relationship counseling, I am now in my third and final marriage. I love my wife, my sons, my grand children, and my work. I feel truly blessed. I have good friends, great family, the best career, and very few regrets. I was voted the boy most likely to, and I did. Thank you all for being who you are.

The math teachers drawing straws to see who would get Paul Bagoon, Joe Garafalo, or me; all agreeing we could not be in the same class. Mr Lampeter trying to teach me a lesson in front of the class by wrestling with me. Mr Jacobs working with me after school so that I could learn Calc 2. Being thrown out of Don's and told never to return after a food fight inside, using the ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles as water guns. Don's with its car hops. Tossing all of the pages of the outdated math books into the courtyard. Mostly, I feel grateful for the education I received academically and socially, at LHS. I felt remarkably well prepared to choose my direction and be successful. We were all fortunate to have attended such a good school. I made sure that my eldest son got the same opportunity.
