Hey classmates!
Ice cream anyone?
Since I moved from Livonia I haven't had too many occasions to come back "home" so for me, this trip is going to be a trip down memory lane. I'm excited to see so many friends and family, and places that are locked in my memories while I'm there.
I'm coming into town a bit early (Wed., August 14) to see family and friends. One of the places that is part of my happy childhood memories is Han-D-Dip Dairy Barn, which was only an occasional treat. I told my younger brother I am going there and he couldn't believe it's still open - I have to have pictures to prove it and to torture him a bit.
So ... while Dave told me some folks might want to stop by there Saturday after pictures at the Kirksey Rec Center and the old football field, I'll need to go back to my hotel to get ready for the big event and maybe rest - LOL.
That said, if anyone who lives in town or who will be there Thursday evening, August 15, I'd like to invite you to join me at the Dairy Barn at about 7:30 p.m. for a cone, a sundae, or whatever ice cream treat they have to offer. I've been working on losing weight, but this will be a special occasion, so I'm looking forward to a chocolate-dipped cone.
