Since the daze of the Bentley Court Yard.... I've had ups & downs like everyone. Overall I've had a wonderful & groovatine life. Thought I'd become a multi-millionaire rock star after high school... Though my Bentley years not only playing in bands but teaching guitar...molded me more than High School. I went on to get study music at Wayne State, Oakland Community College, and Schoolcraft. Music is my major and my minor is in psychology. .... Continued to teach guitar at music stores and do gigs... jamming all the time - Studying all forms of music. In the late 70s, I bought a music store in Farmington Hills... Then a couple of years later, before I could finish my college degree I was offered to tour the world with one of my guitar heroes... Sold the music store... and in the early 80's I was touring the world with Albert's Collin's Icebreakers... Many in Europe and across the USA/Canada so many times... Got to know and jam with all my teenage year's guitar heroes. Mid - 80's I lived in Chicago for some time touring with Big Twist. Came back home to form my Robert Noll Blues Mission band and take me to the 90s... from all the awards and accolades..... I accomplished so many of my dreams. In the mid 90's I focused on my teaching. In 2004 I ventured to Burning Man .... which changed my life... a whole new experience and education. Attained my WB Ph.D.'s in Music, Psychology, Neuroscience, and Secular Humanism all from Burningman.com * Whilst attending Burning for the next 5 years... Currently, I'm busy teaching guitar, doing occasional gigs, writing books, creative ventures, healing music... travel with the love of my life.. Chica Kathy. I'm so in love! Life is beautiful and I'm so happy! Well in a nutshell... All is groovatine and I have now... finally graduated from Blackrock City University to be known as Dr. Lovevatine! Yayeeeeeee! :-)

I suppose, looking back, Bentley's years were learning years for sure. For me, it was an extended party... social. I was "Tuned In & Turned On" but didn't drop out. Yep, cherish those years ...memories. The hippie in me was always turned off by the jock mentality/lifestyle... Turned on by music, politics, drugs & sex - the hippie culture! Haha haha! Living on Berwick just down the street from Bentley was groovy!... I could always cut a class, go home to party, play guitar .... whatever was hip or groovy at the time. "Here's a close call memory of Bentley daze" - I remember one day I was narked on... (Bentley had student narcs in those daze) Zack and his crew got me out of class to search my locker... They didn't find my 1/2 pound of referring there or bother to search my stash back on my belt .... loaded with hash and LSD. Never kicked me out of Bentley thankfully! ... *Narrow escape back to the courtyard of our school pharmacy of whatever turns you on. Certainly, the daze of creative thinking and exploration into music and art is more than the academics. I had a psychology class that was my fave... and then, of course, * The Court Yard! :-)
