Retired after 13 years of teaching highshool science, 10 years of research as a biophysicist and 11 years as a Silicon Valley engineer in solid state lasers. I'm now relaxing to interests in music, arts and volunteering in the outdoors.
School Story

I did an undergraduate degree in chemistry at CSULB from 1966 to 1971 where the most noteworthy thing was singing in the University Chorus with Richard and Karen Carpenter. After teaching high school science for 13 years, I went back to school for a PhD in Biophysics at UC Berkeley and then did medical research as UCSF for five years. Economics drove a decision to become an engineer in Silicon Valley in 1995 which after 11 years allowed me to retire to my Alameda home on the San Francisco Bay in 2006. Life is good.
