Alzora F. “Al” Creech

Sep 30, 2016

Beloved wife, mother, and friend Alzora “Al” Francis Creech, 55, of Longview passed away Sept. 26, 2016. She was at home surrounded by her family when she lost her battle with cancer.

Al was born Oct. 9, 1960, in Longview, to Ralph and Virginia (Davis) Iddings. She lived in Longview almost all her life and grew up on her parent’s farm in West Longview. She married her best friend Bill, in August 1979. In 2011 Bill and Alzora were able to purchase her beloved childhood home which she was very content to spend her final days in.

Throughout her entire life Al was a multitalented homemaker. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty or break a sweat, and was never swayed by the easy thing. Later in life she became a self-employed industrial seamstress from which she gained great pride.

Al touched the lives of many, human and animal alike. She had a large place in her heart for animals. Some would even say any pet of hers had won the lottery. She saw things as the glass is half full and had a giving and loving nature.

In her spare time Al enjoyed crafting, gardening, and antique/thrift shopping. Most importantly she loved spending time with her pets and loved-ones, especially her grandchildren. She loved to play alongside them. There were no limits to the fun they would have and you could guarantee on mud pie day, Al would be the muddiest.

Al is survived by her husband, Bill Creech; a son, Jeremy Creech of Longview; a daughter, Jamie Creech-Rahier of Longview; three brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; Bottom of Form

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Columbia Funeral Service. A memorial is planned for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at Steele Chapel.

In lieu of flowers or donations, Al requested you take a special loved-one out to dinner and spend time with them in her honor.
