Karen Bell ('68) (Nelson) Shafer

Since 1968? Graduated from UCF and became a school teacher in public school for 6 years. In 1989 I operated an inventory service counting inventory by hand, in major department stores. The inventory company closed, thanks to bar code readers, and I began working for Levi Strauss and Co. in the sales division of Dockers.

In 1998 I went back to education, and opened Oviedo Montessori School for children ages 2-First grade, in Oviedo, Fl. The School and myself are still going strong!

I have to say thanks for the tutoring in Physics by Chuck Engle. Not sure it helped.

Favorite memories are eating lunch in the courtyard under the trees, at the old Lyman. Made wonderful friends I still have today.
