I joined the Navy in December 1989 and was stationed in Norfolk VA where I met my husband who was in the Marines. Brandon was born at the Naval hospital in Portsmouth Va. I got out in 1993 and we moved back to Indiana. When Brandon started school I decided to use my GI Bill to go to school myself and I got my accociates degree in Surgical Technology. I worked for 5 years in the surgery department at Jasper Memorial Hospital and then transfered to the OB department and worked for 4 years there. Mark, my husband, is from Boise and after some recent health problems with his father we decided to move up here. Things have gone great for us since we been up here. The week after I got here I accepted a position with a hospital doing basically what i did at Jasper in the OB department, only we do prenatal surgeries and we have a NICU here where Jasper did not. My husband works at HP, and my son went from a school the size of Loogootee to having over 300 kids in his class. He loves his school and has adapted well. He's an amazing kid.
