Charles Ballard, MD 1/8/2019   This memorial was created in gratitude to Dr Ballard.  Just prior to and when I was a resident, our department at LAC-USC trained an unprecedented number of residents who later became department chairmen around the USA.  Dr. Ballard was instumental in training generations of OB GYN's so that his reach goes way beyond us, as those department chairmen, faculty, volunteers and practicing doctors have gone on to train many more residents. I attribute my confidence in approaching and solving difficult surgical problems without being intimidated to Dr. Ballard.  Thank you, Katherine Forte, MD 1981
