Pat and I moved to Highlands, NC 24 years ago and opened a b&b. He retired from being an oral surgeon in Macon and Warner Robins. We did the inn for 7 years and sold it. I am now a real estate broker with Harry Norman Realtors.
Our son, Lee, lives in London after living in Praque and Madrid teaching English to corporate employees. Julie was an occupational therapist at all 3 Mayo Clinics. She married Neal, a gastroenterologist at Mayo who was recruited to join the Atlanta Gastro group. We are so glad to have her back in the south!
We have 4 grandchildren -2 adopted from Russia while babies. They are now 9 and precious!
We love to travel and spent 3 weeks in Europe in April and got caught in the volcanic ash debacle! But we took a train to Tuscany and loved it!
I have written 2 cookbooks -the latest is Mouth of the South! I spent 3 weeks with Paula Deen at the Lady and Son's Restaurant -what a hoot that was!
Patsy's Latest Interactions
Ann was a great person and she and Bo a fun and dear couple. She will be missed by so many.
Dinky was one of my very best friends, and we went through the trauma and heartbreak of dating in our high school years...having no idea what real love was! We would sneak out of the house just to show we could do it and were a little mischievous! She was so funny and kept us all laughing. We lost touch when she went to work for TWA and was traveling the world. I remember in high school the song, Where the Boys Are , and we vowed to go to Ft Lauderdale one day to "find" them! Ironic that she would wind up living there. We reconnected after her husband died but it was never the same. I will always have fond memories of Dinky and her family. God bless those left behind who mourn her.
Hi Rodney! I often wondered where you lived and just saw this. I'm in Highlands, NC -not too far! If ever you're this way I would love to see you. My phone is:828-200-9179. Merry Christmas!
I will always remember her sweet smile and fun nature. My sympathies to all who knew her.
