I began teaching in 1968- in Monroe, GA, then Dekalb County and Bibb County. In 1975 I went to Stratford Academy as a first grade teacher. In 1998 I became Stratford's Preschool Director and taught PreK. I retired from my administrative post, but continued to teach PreK which is a half-day job. I retired in 2016 and moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL. After one year we returned to Macon to be near family and friends. I enjoy walking, water aerobics and pets. My 26 yr. old grandson got married in October, 2018. He and his wife are nurses at Navicient Health. My granddaughter is in graduate school in St. Augustine studying to be an Occupational Therapist.
