I was thinking recently of my life in Macon: My jobs came to mind..
My Summer Jobs:
Age 14 : Delivered Milk door to door with Bordens. 5am-11am ...just one week
Age 13-14-15: I helped Bob Winn deliver newspapers from the back of his Allstate motor scooter. during the summer
Age 16: I ushered at the Bibb Theater during the summer. I had a flash light and was looking cool checking the temp.
Age 16-18: A life guard at Baconsfield pool one summer and also at the Reagan Park on the eastside. (It had bumper cars and other cool stuff)
Between sports at Lanier Jr and Sr. I also worked with my dad as a Gopher carrying tools for refrigeration repairs at Bordens
Was that a great life or what.....P.S. My brother Billy started a 16 and under City sandlot baseball team. We won the city championship....

After school I tried Georgia Southern for a couple of qaurters. School was never my area of expertise.
1966 Joined the USAF and was an Air Traffic Controller even after 1970 then went into the ATC with the FAA.
I left that industry in 1983 and went into the inurance industry for 18 years.
I retired from Prudential.
I have been in the collecting field for about 20yrs now. Keeps me busy and
I run across bits of history sometimes that makes it great.
