Leslie Margaret Newman, 69, of Scotland, CT, passed away June 14, 2014 at the William Backus Hospital. She was born November 22, 1944 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Mary (Spungin) Odess. She married William J. Newman November 28, 1992 in Scotland CT. He survives her. She had worked as the Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) at the Rocky Hill Veteran's Home and Hospital. Leslie's greatest love of all was her family and her dog. She loved photography, gardening and especially loved to travel. She was a member of the Scotland Historical Society and was an organizer of the Town of Scotland Farm Day.
