
Mr. Donald M. Golas, 49, of Purchase Street, Milford, Mass., died Tuesday (Dec. 28 1993) after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Golas was the husband of Charlene (Tagan) Golas. Mr. Golas was a Sales and Marketing Representative for Homeview of Needham, Mass., where he had represented the company for the past two years. Mr. Golas had previously been a sales representative for Atlantic Aviation in Philadelphia, Pa., and the Beechcraft Aviation Corporation, formerly of Bedford, Mass. Mr. Golas was born in Manchester, May 29, 1944, the son of the late Anthony J. Golas and Nellie (Galli) Golas of Manchester. Mr. Golas was formerly of Manchester, and had been a resident of Milford , Mass. For eight years. Mr. Golas was a graduate of Manchester High School, Manchester in 1962, where he lettered in football and a graduate of Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y. in 1966, where he played varsity football. Mr. Golas was a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 25 of Manchester, where he became an Eagle Scout. During the Vietnam War, Mr. Golas served in the U.S. Air Force and as a Captain he was a Decorated Air Commander receiving the coveted Air Metal four times with Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Golas maintained his private and commercial pilot’s license. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Golas is survived by a brother, David A Golas of Manchester; a sister, Doreen M. Bourne of Virginia Beach, Va., and several nieces and nephews.
