Alan Rydlewicz

 

 

 

Alan G. Rydlewicz, beloved husband of Sharon (Colligan) Rydlewicz, born March 14, 1943, in Manchester, died Tuesday, (September 3, 2002) at his home on Crowley Dr., Old Saybrook, where he had resided for the past 23 years. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, of 28 years; and his parents, Alexander and Jennie (Varrick) Rydlewicz of Manchester; also by his sister, Joyce A. Rydlewicz of Jewett City. He was preceded in death by his three year old brother, Roger Rydlewicz, who died unexpectedly in 1949. Alan graduate from St. James Catholic School, in Manchester. He was also a graduate from the Manchester High School, Class of 1962.

 

Alan became a Manager for the Harmacs Men's Shop in East Hartford, also a Manager for Tarnys Men's Wear of Old Saybrook. He then bought the men's shop from Tarnys and rename it the Cambridge Shop, then changed it to Alan's Men's Wear at the Old Saybrook Mall. He opened another men's shop on Main St., in Old Saybrook called Alan's Men's Wear. He closed his shop on Main St. after 25 years, then he became District Manager for the Professional Home Care Services, Inc. in Berlin.
