Sorry to hear about these recent passings.  I hadn't been on in a while, but received a "Jill Campbell (Bagley)" birthday notification, so I thought I'd check in.

Still enjoying sunny Carolina.  A bit much with this heat wave, but the torrential rains have kept the grass green.  Happy summer everyone.

Each summer I work on a gardening project called THE GARDEN TITHE with generous and talented gardeners at Monadnock Congregational Church in Peterborough. Each week we 'tithe' the best 10% of our garden harvest. It is placed on the altar as an offering on Sunday, then it is brought to the Peterborough Food Pantry on Monday morning. So far we have donated over 1200 pounds of premium produce.  We are applying for a grant to help us to serve more people in this community.  We want to teach more people to garden and add some season extending techniques to our current practices.

Voting is EASY.  No sign-in, no log-in or password, just vote!  Thanks!  Voting continues until October 24.

WOW- this site still works. Been so long......Hope everyone is enjoying life beyond Memorial. My husband and I are somewhat retired but I do some monitoring on a bus for special needs children. Other than that life is good.

Hey Leah, my husband and I are thinking about NC for the future.  We love NH, but the winters seem to become longer and longer with each passing year.  VA and SC are also being considered.  Hoping to do some exploratory traveling through those states this summer and over the next few years.

It was nice to have some recent updates from classmates.

Alot of people seem to be retiring in the mountain area of north carolina and tennessee. Heard the area is very peaceful and stress free.

Hi! Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I want to let you all know that Maura is now 15yo and doing very well but she is growing and getting bigger making it more difficult for me to lift her in and out of my van along with her wheelchair. I am doing fundraisers to try to raise money for one as they are very expensive and in NH there is no state funding to help with this. Because she has a rare chromosomal issue there are no foundations I can turn to for grants or help either so it's all on me at this point. My van is a 2002 with over 236,000 mi in it. It won't last much longer and my next van will need to be wheelchair accessible. I cannot lift her or her wheelchair in and out of my van safely without help anymore . This essentially leaves us housebound when I have no one to help me.:( I have hurt my back before and one if these times I could hurt it again permanently or worse injure Maura trying to lift her into my van.

A friend of mine has set up a "YouCare" account for donations which is: https//www.youcaring.com/Maura-McCarthy-432447#.VfUZdG170Rw./ mail to. Any donations would be appreciated or you can send me a check at: 222 Goffstown Back Rd, Goffstown, NH 03045 if you wish to donate.

Another friend is asking people to write to Ellen Degeneres about our need and story at "EllenTV.Com" under need a car. If you want to know more about Maura just E Mail me at "pemtaber@comcast.net. Yes it is "pem" for myself and my two girls initials !:)

If you live in the Goffstown area I am also having a fundraising event on Nov 14 from 4:30-6:30 including a Spaghetti dinner $10 adults and children 9 & up and $5 ages 8 and under. A silent auction, bake sale and book signing and sale of Carol Phillips book "52 Simple Ways to Health". It will be held at the Congregational Church of Goffstown at Stark Hall  8 Main St, Goffstown, NH.

Anything you can do to help us get a wheelchair for my fighting Maura would be greatly appreciated! You all rallied around her when she coded in Sept 2009 so I know you will again!

Thanks everyone! The MMHS Class of 79 rocks!!!!

Pam,

I'm so happy that you have good friends helping you to achieve this goal in many different ways.  I had a hard time finding the spot on Ellen's website regarding the vehicle giveaway, but here's a good link: http://www.ellentv.com/be-on-the-show/441/    Be sure to fill this form out YOURSELF, because we would all LOVE to see you and Maura get keys to a new vehicle from Ellen.

Larry,

NH winters are taking a toll on my spirit (and humor).  6 month winters aren't all they're cracked up to be now that I don't ski or skate anymore.  Paul and I traveled to VA and SC last year for a vacation, and VA and NC this year, and I can see myself as a snow bird sometime in the (hopefully near) future.  We love the Wilmington, NC area.

Sending best wishes to all my MMHS friends.

Can’t believe it will be forty years next year.  Just wondering if we know what month the reunion will be held.  I am planning a few trips next year and would also like to attend reunion if we are having one.  Please let me know when you know.  All the best, Nancy
