Jim, I love the Wilson Sisters too (though obviously for different reasons.) When I was 20 years old, Dog and Butterfly was playing in the background and my roommate's dog was in the yard chasing a butterfly. I was amazed and thought "this is so cool, someone up there loves me." So the dog leaps into the air...and eats the butterfly. Buzz kill.

James, you and my husband think alike. heart was amazing. I was never a big Heart fan but after last night.....I was impressed. I'm still hoping to make it to PJ's Friday. If it's early enough I may get Ben to go for a drink.

Well I have been sitting here reading back to all of the messages and hearing some very sad news and some very humorous things too! Guess I will have to add this to my list of internet mail to check on a daily basis. I have missed out on way too many important things and I hate being left out of anything!!! LOL

Dave Lemire..he was a dreamboat in high school! I voted him for best looking! Tell me he is single (just kidding people).

Whew! Took a few minutes to catch up - and I'd only been off the grid since Saturday!

Glad to see so many new people checking in; this is getting exciting! Hope the hall is big enough for the turnout to this shindig - looks like it may be substantial!

Hopefully I'll be able to come to PJs on Friday night - did a test run on Saturday with Donna for lunch and was able to stay seated the whole time, Joe. Let it die!

Hi to Michelle, Pam and Kev - glad you've joined us for the push to Oct! It has been fun trying to keep up with everyone on this fast-paced board! Challenging, but fun.

Karen...so glad to hear there were no bar stool acrobatics this weekend! So proud! Although I do hope you will save a double twisting back flip for me in October! :)

09/14/09 02:18 PM #649

Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

Only for you, Rob! Any more acrobatics will be saved for your visit... and hopefully I won't end up in the hospital because of it!

Check out Colin King's band playing in Bedford the weekend before the reunion. Looks like a hoot! Check out his home page. Hope to make Friday at PJ's (If they'll let me in there anymore...ha-ha)

Karen, am I supposed to keep quite about the trapeze you requested to be installed at the reunion banquet hall?

Lyn Swanson (Lavery)

Karen,
I can't believe how cruel everyone is being to you. I think we should smear some butter on the rungs of their chairs so they'll all fall!
Lyn

Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

Shhhhh Margo! That was supposed to be a surprise!

Lyn: Never fear - middle kid - I can take it! As I've said before, the karmic boomerang effect will get them eventually (Donna, would you like to chime in, honey??!) for picking on the poor defenseless klutz! And three of the biggest pickers WEREN'T EVEN THERE!! It's all heresay! Is there a lawyer in the house??

Carol Erlman (Phillips)

Just for the record, I WAS there....

1. Karen's heel got caught in her skirt,
2. the barstools had just been polished and were very slick, and
3. for a split second, the Earth SUDDENLY AND VIOLENTLY rotated on its axis faster than it had since the Food Fight of '79. Now....can you blame the poor girl for falling??

She made an amazing recovery and was even able to escort me to the ladies' room, after which the biggest bouncer on the planet (every pun intended) gave us grief for not answering his question in JUST the exact way he had hoped we would!

Karen, as always, I have your back! :)

Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

Carol, you are my HERO!! So there, you all!! I am VINDICATED! (Although the rotation-of-the-earth stuff WAS a little much!)

wow people. You all make my day. I sit here cracking up and my family thinks I'm getting senile.
Scott, I was gonna say something about Colins band too. That might be a fun night and I even have it off from work.

As for remembering most of you......it's a not. I'm sorry, but I have no clue who most of you are. Makes it all the more funner(not a word). It'll be like meeting new people.

P.S. Lynn you are funny. Thanks for being my farm neighbor.

So fun to hear a few of you went to see Journey at the Verizon Center. Rob Ferendo and Mark O'Dowd and I went to see them too, at the Boston Garden back in 1979 or 1980 I think. The sound was so bad in the Garden I was nearly deaf for the whole ride home. They must all be collecting social security by now.

Well I am going to see Eddy Mony Saturday night. What a blast from the past. I went to his concert two year ago and had an absolute blast. He is about 100 years old but does put on a good show. I actually met him on the way back to my parents beach house. My friend and I were stopping for a corn dog - yes a corn dog at 1 am in the morning. I was pretty drunk and don't remembe eating it. But do remember Eddy Mony pulling up with his band and they were behind us and were singing She was shaking. They wanted sausage and pepper subs. - AT 1am- WOW
My sisters went to Journey and they loved it. We had tickets for the last concert when they sold out.
Hope you all have a great time Friday will miss the fun.
Cathy

Does anyone have any clear memories of Senior Hike Day? Let me try to refresh your memory. We planned a day at Pawtuckaway and all met in the parking lot. Someone must have tipped off the rangers who immediately let us know that there would be no hugh school party at the park.

We ended up at a private campground in Raymond-Flint Hill. Does anyone else Remember Flint Hill?

I'll up;oad a picture on my profile

If you want to see how Journey as aged (except for the new singer, Arnel) check out my pictures on Facebook. They aren't very good because I had to use my phone camera. I was in the fourth row.

I do remember seeing them at the garden a few times and the sound was always bad.

I found some old photos! And I thought I was at school on Senior Hike Day! Not! The beach called...and we listened!

Remember all the breakfasts at Bickford's during Senior Week? We laughed so hard we almost got kicked out! :)

Wow...Colette..I had totally forgotten about the Journey concert! Garden never was too great for sound...My 14 year old son went to see them this summer! Totally into all "our" music...of course, he gets quite upset when he finds out one of his favorite Reggae songs was a remake of one of our old rock songs!

Wow Kevin for someone who was on the fence about this whole reunion thing you have gotten quite interested! Still think you should wear your Foley T-shirt to the reunion!!Ha! Ha!

Unfortunately, I was one of the suckers actually in school on Senior Hike Day because Charlotte Hybsch and I hiked school the two days before to go to the beach and got caught!! Need I say more?? Embarassing but true. I am much more fun now than I was then I must say.

Just heard from Diane Fortin Thayer and she is thinking about coming to the reunion now so send your messages to push her along! Remember her at "Flint Hill" after the senior prom in the rain under a tent no one could figure out how to set up singing "My Momma socked it to me cause she told me I'd live, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,na!!" Over and over again she kept singing it!
