Mary, I agree just a very shameful way to show our appreciation to the men and women who bravely served our country.

Joni, my heart goes out to you and your family. please accept my condolences. I will pray for you and your family.

I'd like to wish a Merry Christmas to all who read this forum. Not, I repeat not, happy holidays. It is and always will be Merry Christmas to me.

Joni, I am so sorry to hear of your loss and to have your mother-in-law so sick too. I hope that time will heal your sorrow and your fond memories of him will keep him in your hearts forever. I lost both my father and grandmother in Dec. and their birthdays are both this month so it is a tough time of year for me but it does get easier with each passing year.

Melissa, thank you for your lovely Christmas card I am not sending them anymore with the cost of postage I just send E-Mail greetings instead and see my friends that I am able to see. Just had Elly McGahey (Mike McGaheys ex-wife) her daughter and Kevin's daughter for dinner last night. There is nothing more special than spending the Christmas season among friends! Wish you and Tim were here to spend it with too!! You are in my thoughts though!

Speaking of Christmas Greetings I wish all of you and your families a very happy Christmas and a healthy; joyous and prosperous New Year's! Thank you again for surrounding me and my girls with your love and support when Maura was so sick. I will never forget it.

I've been out of touch for a while dealing with family, work, etc. Joni, I just saw your post about your father-in-law. Steve and I send our heartfelt sympathies to you, your husband, the boys and your mother-in-law. You spoke often of how close you are to your in-laws when we talked in October... my heart is breaking for you. This is a terribly hard time of year to have something like this happen, especially for your sweet boys. I know you'll all help each other through it. Wish we were there to help too. Our very best to you all and hoping to talk to you soon.

Joni: I'm so sorry for your loss. This is the worst time of year to lose a loved one. I will keep your family in my prayers.

I lost my dog tonight. I know it doesn't compare to the lose of a real family member but it still hurts. Solo was a part of our family for 15 years.

The holidays are filled with both sorrow and joy. It gets to be a bit too much sometimes.

Happy holidays to all of you and your familys.

Karen, you slay me. Fabulous! I'm stealing that and using it in my toast tonight. My friends will begin to think they have underestimated me all these years. "Who knew? Hidden depth." Cheers, Sweet Girl.

Same to you, dear heart. Spending tonight with my oldest and my love. I have my bliss. I am by far the luckiest woman in the world. What did I ever do to deserve this? I will NEVER take anything for granted again. My life is a gift and I intend to live each day to the absolute fullest. Love to all those I love and joy in the New Year.
